While i'm not sure whether i believe in ghosts or not, I did really enjoy the show in the beginning. Now it just seems like i've seen this show before. I did enjoy Derek on the show as he gave much more history on the places visited & the ghosts that lived there. He even interacted with the ghosts. He made it all seem fun & exciting to the viewer. Altho i like Fred, the Demonalagist, i find he doesn't participate in the show as much as i think he should. He gives a bit of history in the beginning of the show, almost repeating what Yvette already says in the intro & then it's like he fades out sight. As for Dr. John Callow, his reviews are monotone & boring. I keep waiting for him to fall asleep in the middle of his droning on & on. He's almost emotionless. Does he ever blink?? I want to get a good look around of the beautiful places investigated before investigation starts, a bit more history & maybe Fred could interact with the ghosts a bit more.

my wife and i are just watching the show we like everything except the red head screaming all the time why is she on there, shespoils the whole show with her screaming it is so irritating we had to turn it off i do not like her voice or anything about her she reminds me of a British snot nose bitch.we hate her i have to write all this because they would not accept a couple of lines they said i had to write ten lines so i am going to write ten lines about how much i can not stand her screaming, this is supposed to be professional ghost hunters why have some woman that is scared of her own shadow on there and her sceams are like nails on a chalk board.

It's been common knowledge in the UK that this show is "rigged," since 2005, when Derek Acorah was exposed as a fraud by national European newspapers and TV shows (search youtube to see the altered footage for yourself). At the same time, Karl (Yvette's husband, as it turns out) was exposed for having tossed pebbles, shoved crew members and blamed it on "ghosts" etc. (Again, a quick search of sites such as wikipedia will easily provide more information).Somehow, none of this information seems to have made it to the U.S. in the nearly half-decade since it became common knowledge in Europe.Having watched the American version of this swill since its inception, I will never waste another second of my life watching these charlatans as they insult the intelligence of anyone truly interested in finding answers to the age-old question of whether there is life after death.Since the stone age, mankind has been aware of spirits in the physical realm (and for anyone who says they don't believe in ghosts, ask them to finish this sentence: "the Father, the Son and the Holy ..."), and it's become abundantly clear that Yvette Fielding and accomplices are also involved in one of mankind's oldest pursuits: betraying the trust of the gullible.I lost someone very, very dear to me. I've long questioned whether our spirits live on after our bodies die, but it's become so much more pressing a concern since this huge vacancy appeared in my life so unexpectedly. As such, I truly resent the cheap tricks (table shaking, tossing pebbles, so-called "seances") Fielding and cohorts use, in an attempt to pass off acting as genuine communication with spiritual beings. Even for its supposed "entertainment value," it's worthless.I'll watch some other program. No thanks. Do some research and you'll probably come to a similar conclusion.

This is one of those shows that deserves it's own drinking game. Every time the host shrieks or cries, take a drink. Every time Derek says "Slaughter", take a drink. Every time they say that a place isn't haunted, drink a whole fifth of Everclear.Where does one begin to unravel how stupid this show is? Yes, they go to interesting places. Yes, the UK is filled with spooky places to investigate, but it's amazing that EVERY site they travel to is chock full o' ghosts.Yvette Fielding is about as scientifically minded as a carnival barker at the freakshow. She flips out as soon as the light are off, and every bump or cobweb is a sign that someone is trying to contact her.Derek Accora is ridiculously cheesy, especially when he goes into trances that supposedly lead to him "channeling" an evil spirit. And his "spirit guide" Sam, Derek's imaginary friend whom he thanks profusely throughout the show always manages to give him half-correct clues that lead them to another room where Yvette will nearly pee her pants.Be sure to take a drink whenever the disclaimer at the bottom of the screen suggests that there's no proof to back up whatever Derek says. It happens often, so you'll probably be toasted after one full episode.
