I signed up just to review the awful show "Masters of Flip" that grated on me so much, I had to write it. I tried to like it. I gave it many tries thinking it would get better. It never did. First, co-host and wife, Kortney Wilson ruins the show. Her overbearing personality and selfish attitude drove me up a designer wall. Her ridiculous outfits were the main display in every episode. Sometimes I even wonder if she plotted the colors of the interior to compliment her outfit, i.e. lilac and then wear a purple ugly outfit. Her colors are mostly dated 1980s old lady pastels, like sea foam and lilac. Her smugness of letting her husband Dave Wilson know she is smarter than him is like listening to fingernails on a chalkboard. An example, "I will get you a copy of Vogue," she said to him about her thinking she knows it all and he is an idiot. She is such a diva. He is more practical and level-headed. She thinks she is smart and a grand designer, but she isn't. She may be a good Realtor and that is where she should stay. A designer she isn't. Anything Kortney does, like colors and her touches is whacked out and she spends way too much. I can't hold Dave blameless either. He is a wimp and won't stand up to her excessive spending and demands. For instance, she will usually say in about every episode, "I want this to stay, I want that, don't take that one thing," etc. Instead of letting her husband, who is practical and tells her the reason they can't keep it, she refuses almost every time and he caves. When he can't keep her demands she pouts and reminds me of that little rich girl who didn't get her pony. Also she demands he stays on budget since she is worried about making a dollar, but it is OK when she wants to spend big. She gets mad at him if he asks her to budget. The show could be salvageable if Kortney was removed and only had Dave and his workers. I would watch it. As is, with Princess Nasty Sea Foam, I am going to pass. Unless you like seeing an overbearing diva who mimics a nastier Kate Gosselin, in tacky outfits, pass up on this stinker.

I wanted to like this show, just as a change of pace from the other flipping shows; those I pretty much enjoy. But sometimes there are too many reruns of the usual, and it's nice to see a different approach. Watching the first couple of episodes turned me off with Kourtney's whining and banter. Recently I thought maybe I need to give this couple another chance to grow on me. No, no ,no! Kourtney's "personality" is too forced. All the other negative reviews have her pegged. But to top it off, Dave is even more grating by trying to outdo her cuteness. Just act like a guy, Dave. Roll your eyes at her comments, and get on with the work. The flips are not that great either; but to be honest, I hardly remember what they flipped because I was questioning the value of their chemistry the whole time! It's hard to believe anyone thought this was a good idea for a show.

Oh My God; What AWFUL Hosts! The women on the show are arrogant, pretentious and super vain, especially Kortney. I can't watch this show anymore - and I won't. The designs of the houses are blah; no modern conception at all. The hosts have no sense of style. Again, especially Kortney.I like the show 'Flip or Flop' - the houses(when they are done)are contemporary and cutting-edge. The hosts of 'Flip or Flop' are cordial and delightful, unlike Dave and Kortney, to say the least. The show 'Flip or Flop' is state-of-the-Art and pleasant to watch.Dave and Kortney are not at all likable, unlike 'Flip or Flop', or 'Fixer Upper'. I like renovation shows, but Kortney has no design skills or taste, and Kortney's outfits are ludicrous. Dave's hat is laughable; I know he's bald, for crying out loud! The designs of the houses on the show are outdated and passe. Take the show away!

I LOVE renovation shows and follow my favorites like a fiend. I watched 2 whole episodes of Masters of Flip hoping it would get better. It didn't. Between the goofy professionals (gardener and contractors) and the diva, Kortney, I found it really hard to take the show seriously. The focus of the show was on the antics of these characters and Kortney's wardrobe changes. Design/renovation was on the back burner. I learned nothing and found myself annoyed at the couple. The plot was about stupid arguments/power struggles that were supposed to be cute, I think. With so many other great professional design shows out there, this one will get skipped.
