It's an exciting series allows the viewer to think outside the box to solve the problem.

I watch this show but that is because not much else on. It will never be up to the original. I think instead of trying to copy the original what I would have done is to make Mac and Dalton the sons of the originals all grown up and having their own adventures.

Here we have an updated version of MacGyver. I know that some have said that it's a cliche, following after shows like CSI and the like. Yes, it is a cliche and follows a formula. That doesn't mean that it's not entertaining! What sets MacGyver apart is his knack to work with minimal resources. There is a nice twist in the first episode. 8/10

I grew up with the original series. Well, not on a regular basis since i'm too young, but my parents showed it to me when i was in a fitting age and i liked it. as a child. When i heard that there'll be a reboot i gave the original show a try, but couldnt watch it.For todays standards it's just cringy and not well aged. The show keeps getting better and better. I won't say it's a GOOD show at all. But I ENJOY it. I like the charakters and actors, especially maddy and mac. Yes, i AM annoyed from the pattern and stereotypical characters. there's nothing unique about the writing. but it's still enjoyable at first, i watched it for the name and lucas till, i stayed until now and i'm glad to see that season 2 got more serious, a bit darker, refines the characters a bit more.i've seen far worse on television, especially in germany. the worst US trash show is still better than all the stuff made here.
