For a series developed by History channel, I expected it to be filled with a significant amount of knowledge regarding history and eye catching depiction of historical events. If you're looking for historical accuracy, this isn't the series for you. Historical inaccuracies aside, this series maintains a lot of potential with well developed characters. Every episode is better than the one before. Recommended!

While TV drama should never been taken as historically accurate, and this is not the first drama from the history Channel, this series is bad no matter how you look at it. At least with the Vikings it took a whole series to go from something that was historically adequate to something approaching high fantasy. With this series that rule is broken in the first minute. The Templars did not have a holy grail that is a conspiracy theory created centuries later. The siege of Acre is also completely wrong but I get budgets and requirements for story dictates certain decisions. However, nothing looks right, everyone talks "plot" rather than character and ridiculously modern ideas such as the Knights caring for the Jewish population is ludicrous. Maybe this all calms down but seriously after the hysterical opening and terrible dialogue I just couldn't go on. If you did, you're a better person than I but seriously this is neither Game of Thrones nor even Vikings level of entertainment.

Simply awful with a totally ridiculous story-line. I'm a history lover and have read many books on the subject of the Templars, so i really anticipated this serial and hoped i might enjoy. They actually paid someone to write such a ridiculous script?! i really was laughing at times, with what was going on in this serial. Very bad casting and acting as well. So bad that it became funny at times. i was even bursting in laughter in supposedly dramatic scenes! it's a DISASTER of a serial. i watched it till the end, simply to see how actually bad it was. and it really got from bad to worst.. After the last episode (which was probably the worst and most ridiculous of all) i cought myself thinking. "i actually wasted 10 hours of my life to watch this"?! So in order that no other intelligent people waste their time and nerves on this, i decided to write. I wouldn't recommend it, especially to real history lovers.

Here is the thing, if you are looking for historical documentary or find the truth about the Templars then better look elsewhere. It has major historical inaccuracies as MOST of this category tv series. Now why is that? I don't know but as I said, I will not review Kinghtfall as a documentary but as historical drama which tells a story by blending true events and imaginary. The outcome is beautiful. Taking into account the budget spent, the settings the costumes, the fighting scenes, the romance, the cast, are great in my view. Some people moan about the soundtracks but I don't get it, we talk about Templars and not Harry Potter's Hogwarts school.
