Commonly viewed as the black sheep of Nicktoons, that got cancelled after 2 seasons, "Invader Zim" was ahead of it's time with it's blend of bizarre characters, a bizarre setting, and dark comedy. The premise is simple, an alien tries to take over the Earth, but the episodes were able to add enough to make the show more than that. So many funny moments, quotable moments, and great episodes. I would normally do a "Best and Worst Episodes" list of this show, but there are no real bad episodes here. The show had a way of hiding weaker episodes behind enough humor to make them watchable. Episodes like "Abducted", "Chickenfoot", "The Girl Who Cried Gnome", and "Mortos Der Soulstealer" are admittedly pretty weak, but they're still watchable. They don't drag on, and there are still some lines that get a laugh out of me. Maybe it's best that this show came out when it did. It introduced a young audience to a different kind of humor, had a short run, and then developed a cult following. I think if this were made today, it would just exist to make as many memes as possible. A dark comedy with strange characters, strange episodes, but still original and incredibly funny. A fantastic show, with enough doom and laughs to spare.

Extremely surprised by the praise this show gets. It's not horrendous or anything. I even bought Season 2 of this show back when I was in 6th Grade (2006)Now it seems this show doesn't age very well. Number one reason being that only about 20 or so episodes of Invader Zim were ever made and seeing the same episodes on rotate, again and again really gets annoying after awhile.The plot is this. Zim and Gir are sent on a mission by the Irks (a race of aliens) to take over Planet Earth. A very simple premise, fine and dandy.Zim (the main character) doesn't know how to keep his damn mouth shut for more than five seconds and his arch-rival Dib, isn't that much better with trying to the prove the existence of aliens in...oh I don't know in EVERY SINGLE EPISODE. It's a washed out formula that gets on my nerves.The only episode I honestly I ever really cared for was the "Mysterious Mysteries" episode with Kevin Michael Ricardson trying to bring some life in his dying TV program and the flying squirrel eating Dib's head (in Gir's imagination) was hilarious.But that's my ten cents as far as I'm concerned with this cartoon and I'm sticking with it.

I don't get why this show is so overrated. Seriously, everybody likes it. I think its just retarded, creepy and emo. The characters are obnoxious, its disgusting and it makes no sense. It is 2012 and I still see people wearing gir shirts. Its like everyone just likes that stupid robot, which is very annoying. The fans are annoying, I swear no one thinks its an OK show, Every Zim fan thinks its the best show ever made. Nobody remembers the good stuff like Ren and stimpy, or Rocko's Modern Life. I don't know how a series that lasted a year back in 2001 could still have a large fanbase. Its just so stupid that people rate this 8.7 and as one of the best nicktoons ever, Ren and stimpy DESERVE 8.7.Overall this show is just overrated, there are much better nicktoons out there. Ren and Stimpy should be as praised as this garbage, but its not which is really sad. 2/10(don't be a sheep, watch what YOU think is cool, not what everyone else watches.)

Now this is the cartoon I've been waiting for! This is certainly not Spongebob that's for sure.It's about this alien whom is landed to Earth due to fellow commanders had an issue with him, while on Earth, he has a normal home with robot gnomes in his yard. Has a robot named GIR (can disguise in a dog costume). Inside is house, there is a underground lab where he does his random stuff. He goes to school (hence the name "skool" in the show). Where he disguises his alien form to a human. Some of the supporting characters in the show were a alien obsessed kid name "Dib" and his intelligent father, and a basic girl named "Gaz" . Elsewhere during the show, a there are certain types of incidents that happen, and so on, the plot gets extremely hard. I can't believe this show got canceled on Nickelodeon, this is an awesome show, so that means Spongebob is still alive and making a new episode each and every week. Spongebob made me bored to death, so I would not watch it again. This is the cartoon to see, if it's on DVD, go out and get it.Invader ZIM gets 10 stars.
