The concept of the show is great! And it's set in Amsterdam, about an old family with a lot of MYSTERY! Awesome! Sadly, the characters are written so dumb! Every episode it seems they set out to do something, then at least one character purposefully or accidentally does something to Ruin that easy plan! I know there wouldn't be a show if the mystery was solved fast, but the characters do really dumb things that contradict their typical intellect and behavior. Why can't the writers make Anika and Tess and the little girl smarter? Anika is the most annoying of the bunch. Sorry, but she really is. I really want to like this show, but the dumb writing makes it very difficult to forgive the obvious bad writing. Even Scooby Doo mystery incorporated characters and writing are better than on this show. Again, I want to like the show, but the writing needs to improve. And why are the parents so careless? It seems they don't care if anybody goes to prison. The parents need to discipline their children more, lol. Or at least teach them more. Do these children go to school?! Come on. Improve the writing. This show seems to cater to older children, not younger children, so I'm sure the writing can be better and the viewers can understand. I'm 31! Maybe my brain can predict things in this show, but still, the writing can be much better. I think that's the only flaw I see with the show. The character are just written to be very dumb and clumsy. In one episode, only the youngest siblings went to school, but then SKIPPED school to play tag! Why didn't the other siblings go to school?! Maybe I'm too specific, but this show has potential to be great, without the clumsy writing. Best way to describe the writing of the characters is like a person is looking for something, but when they're about to find it, and it's roght in front of them, AND THEY SEE IT, they choose to turn away and keep looking! That's how I describe the writing of the characters trying to solve the mystery! They always change course, even though they're on track, and they miss it.

Look, I'm sorry, I haven't had time to write a review, but now that season 2 is just around the corner! I feel as though I should do it Now!!!!!!This is possibly the best show that I have ever seen!!!!!I have been watching Nick since iCarly! I am 20 now, and I am looking into this show!Anyway, I was happy at the first season for the following reasons:1. Adoption=I am adopted, so when Disney and ABC shows, such as Jessie and The Fosters, Stereotypes kids getting adopted,(things like they turn out to be criminals, gay, or are just bad kids who didn't deserve what they got and can never be like the rest of the world) I get infuriated, because none of what they broadcast is true, but this show has the right idea, they show what adopted kids are really like and they do not just use offensive stereotypes!2. The Twist=Oh my Gosh! This is amazing! All throughout my childhood I realized all around me, Kids love twists! I personally use that quote from robot chicken "What a twist!" So when this show always has a twist in every episode, you are jumping with joy.3. Mystery= This show will keep you guessing4. Family= This Family is strong against all things! That is truth and something all people should know5. Comedy= Comedy can only be for adults, or can only be just for kids! Disney has expressed this belief! I realize that this phrase is bull-crap, the pure essence of all comedy is that all audiences are laughing at the same thing! Comedy is not subjective! So in Summary this show should win the kids choice awards!

After the 2000s ended, we haven't been getting that much good live action shows from Nickelodeon. Of course, the 2000s had dumb shows like Just Jordan, but that was quickly scrapped. In the 2010s, the bad shows just never seem to leave most of the time. They're always in your face. The only good live action shows from the 2010s are Victorious, House of Anubis, Legendary Dudas, 100 Things to Do Before High School, Paradise Run, Ride, Power Rangers Ninja Steel, and All In With Cam Newton. Hunter Street came out last month, and it is just great. A trait common in Nickelodeon one-month series is that it always features a new girl at school who gets bullied by the popular girl and starts dating the popular girls boyfriend. That plot is SO Cliché. However, Hunter Street turns that cliché plot around and spits it out in an awesome way. Max is in a new foster home with Anika, Tess, Sal (my favorite character), and Daniel. However, their parents are kidnapped by a mysterious hooded figure named Saganash. Together, the kids must solve the mystery and get their parents back. The show did have the love square with Tim, Daniel, Simone, and Sophie, but that was very minor and so you won't get bored watching this show. It has awesome mysteries and great morals for kids. It also has awesome effects. This, Ride, Power Rangers Ninja Steel, Paradise Run, Post-Sequel Spongebob, The Loud House, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Bunsen is a Beast are the best Nickelodeon shows of 2017.

This show teaches kids that they are completely helpless without adults. Even the 17 year old (Almost 18 acts like he is 10. Authority figures walk into home without knocking and show no concern for kids feelings. This frustrating show is tacitly designed to dis-empower the viewing audience (Children) and make them feel they need to be dependent on others to solve their problems. When I was a kid children's TV shows and movies were designed to foster independence, self-reliance, and responsibility. Hunter Street does just the opposite. I don't know why any kid would find this entertaining.
