Hollyoaks is definitely my favourite soap. Some storylines can be quite boring, but most are interesting and leave you wanting to watch more! This currently airs on Channel 4 at 6:30pm, but if you really can't wait to see the next day's episode, it airs on E4 at 7:00. My favourite characters are: Alfie, Yazz, James, Marnie, Myra, Tony, Luke and Ollie. All of my favourite characters are involved in gripping storylines. Great job Hollyoaks!

MAY CONTAIN SPOILERSKerrie Taylor plays the role of Lucy Benson very well being rather sassy but also gets into a lot of trouble from getting addicted to drugs to being bound and gagged in a water tank!Kerrie's most famous scene in Hollyoaks is in the episode called 'The Water Tank'. Over 2 episodes Kerrie gets kidnapped and later on almost drowned in a water tank and during this all tied up. She spends the majority of these episodes tied up, gagged and blindfolded with black cloth. And although at the start the gag is needed as the character, Lucy is trying to attract attention by screaming, later on she gives up but remains gagged. This could be to enforce her role of being 'damsel in distress' who are commonly gagged with something. An example of Lucy being gagged for no reason other that to not annoy Rob Hawthorne and to look the part of being a damsel is when she is in the abandoned water tank factory with Rob where she sits there, tied to a chair and gagged. This could also be to enforce some humour and to make Rob look like a the type of person to not like his ex-girlfriends voice.Lucy Benson does try to escape from being kidnapped though, thus making the blindfolds and the gags seem more necessary to use.

Currently, Hollyoaks is my favourite Soap. It's the one I never miss during weekdays In fact, it's been my favourite for quite a few years now, given that Eastenders has certainly suffered a great 21st century downfall The viewers' ratings for this Soap always suffer in comparison to the universally watched Soaps (Eastenders, Coronation St), much to do with the fact that Channel 4 suffers in comparison to BBC1 and ITV Nevertheless, I would say it is the most realistic of all the Soaps, and doesn't overstretch the boundaries in storytelling. In fact it is more in touch with human nature than all the other soaps, relating its plots to real teenage problems and even parental problems Moreover, it doesn't need to bring a character back from the dead to boost ratings; and most of the families are central to the main plots so you become familiar with them My current favourite characters are Louise, Warren, Carmel, Tony, John-Paul and Jacqui, all of whom are very much involved in the current gripping episodes I would recommend this Soap to both genders and to people in their teens and above, however the Late Night Specials include more adulterated content

I love this show. The characters are wonderful and the actors and actress's are terrific. I was hooked ever since Toby the killer, now I just can't stop watching it, there are always new characters arriving which is great, it keeps it fresh. The story lines are always new and exciting. There is comedy, something to make you cry, gasp, and keep you on the edge of your seat. Its a great show for teens to watch, as most teens are either thinking about or going through what Hollyoaks episodes has written about. The first time I cried while watching Hollyoaks was during the fire in The Dog in the pond, when they killed of the twins Mel and Sophie, it felt strange not seeing them on the screen afterwards, I think they were a big part of Hollyoaks. I think everyone can relate to at least one of the characters, Becca Dean was one of my favourite characters, she may of been a bit depressed a lot and crying all the time, but she was going through so much, she started a relationship with a student because she obviously unhappy in her marriage, and wanted something different and exciting, she wanted passion. She fell in love with Justin Burton. A while after she got pregnant everyone found out her and Justin's little secret, was the baby's father Jake Dean or Justin Burton? Becca became bored and fed up with Justin and realised how much of a kid he really is, and that she made a mistake. She decided to get rid of him and told him its over, but that was only the beginning. Justin took the break up hard, and told the police that Becca had been molesting him the whole time and pressed charges on her. Becca was just settling back into life on her own with her loving sister Nancy, when the police arrive at the door. Becca was sent to prison and had her baby, Justin never confessed that he was lying, until recently, Becca was ready to go home after Justin confessed, right before she was stabbed to death. It was very tragic. Jake and Nancy were left to look after the baby, baby Charlie was proved to be Jakes, and Justin was branded a lier, poor Nancy is in pieces that shes lost her one and only darling sister the only thing that keeps her going is that she has still got her baby nephew to look after.A long story I know, its all so tragic, and the story still continues, Justin still hasn't got his comeuppance. All in all this show is superb, it should win more awards. I think people who don't like it should give it a chance. Emmerdale and Eastenders are boring compared to Hollyoaks. There is always something going on in HOllyoaks village, give a go you'll love it.
