She changes clothes the whole episode and pretends to do things with her fake nails while he walks around in flip flops and pretends he does the hard work. Then they trot out the cute kids with the eldest helping mom do something token like plant a plant (while mom has a disgusted expression on her face looking at dirt). The worst bit is that this show has been used as a platform by those two to sell real estate flipping conferences to people. People pay thousands of dollars and turn up to learn from them and they show up in video form. The conferences encourage people to increase their credit limit so it can be spent on more expensive conferences. It's like a pyramid scheme featuring those two. And people wondered how they could be so rich just doing this show. Nothing reality about this show and no help for anyone but themselves.

The show reveals how an ugly house can be turned into a new inviting and warm place to live. What is not real is the chemistry between Tarik and Christina and who she is dating. She walks around and tells him what to add, it is always gray and white, or some gray color or neutral. Please change the colors schemes and get new people on your show. They are plastic together and she looks like she is ready for Vogue magazine. Who looks like that for flipping homes and you don't make that much money on every flip, really? Is it just me or am I crazy. Joanna and Chip have interaction and it is real, not like this show. You could make them real if they were still married and his wife didn't look like she just stepped out of the salon??!!

It's hard to know where to start with this show. Is it the fact that it's completely irrelevant to most of the audience, simply due to the price bracket that they exclusively work in? Is it the fact that you kinda hate both of them and can tell that they don't even like being around each other? At the end of the day, it's crafted drama, and the results look nice, so people watch it (at least as long as they don't have a choice of watching Property Brothers or Fixer Upper). Christina makes all of the design choices, and almost always makes Tarek redo anything that he tries to do on his own. As my wife describes it, she has a constant "I can't remember your name" or "I think that comment was making fun of me but I'm not sure" look on her face. Tarek has no reason to be on the show; Christina could carry it all herself. All he does is walk around in his flip flops (nod to the show's name?) & complain about everything while second guessing Christina's choices, until the end where he gets all "you were right, I'm gonna go swim in all the money we just made from this because I listed us for significantly higher than any comp supported." The couple has no chemistry together (unless you count consistent fighting & bickering all the time), never touching, almost never even saying that they love each other, never smiling at each other, etc. BUT there is a trainwreck quality to it all. It's hard to look away. You want to see how it all turns out. You want to prove how ridiculous Tarek was being about his doom & gloom and further cement that he should just shut up & listen to his wife when it comes to design choices.

Please don't you dare HGTV bring back flip or flop or as I call them"frick or frack"! Christina is the worst so-called designer I've ever seen and you can always count on the using the same designs, materials and her not doing anything but spend, spend , spend. The new Flip or Flop Vegas I've only seen once but at least they have skills, and boy can she bargain hunt! I want her to come to my house and find the deal on home repair and design.
