Does the same person own all the houses they buy? Cuz I swear they call the same guy every freakin' episode. And Tarek always says "Hey, this is Tarek El Mousa. We spoke earlier about your house in [ ]". Then...(pause)..."oh, hey!"I mean I like the show for what it is. And if I ever want to reno a former crack house without having it inspected or really considering what I might do or what it would cost; and if I want my finished project to be dark lowers, light uppers, gray accent wall, gray laminate flooring throughout, subway tile with mosaic inset, etc, etc, and be way over budget and priced out of the neighborhood, but somehow still sell for a hefty profit; now I know how!Actually, it is good to know house values in all the different areas of L.A. Somewhere I will never ever live.
... View MoreAfter reading the IMDb comments on Flip or Flop, I agree with you about the fake parts of the show. (SPOILER ALERT) HGTV expects us to believe that they borrowed money from her father to flip a house. REALLY? I am positive that Tarek & Christina have a great income especially based on their car, their clothing, their home, etc. In addition, HGTV is paying them quite a few dollars per episode.(SPOILER ALERT) One show featured their car being stolen. It was recovered the next day by the police. REALLY?My biggest criticism is Christina's nasally voice. They need to spend a few dollars on her taking voice diction lessons to stop her from talking through her nose. We mute the show whenever we watch. We watch because we are flipping our house and Christina has great ideas. She is so pretty but her voice puts off viewers.

Then there is the "why are you watching the show?" Many of us probably watch (every now and then) to see the So Cal real estate market. Having moved from the area, but being familiar with the areas they are in, I get curious to see what you can pick a place up for. That can be difficult to, as many of their episodes are old repeats. Never can tell when there is a current episode. But agreed, it is a hard 30 minutes to sit through. This is like flip 101, no substantive information to be garnered, unless you want fashion trends. Some of the designs are not that great either, very standard. All you have to do is go shopping and you can put a look together, even us laypersons have that skill level. Not to mention you can copy a model home or magazines. I have never picked up one design tip or anything from this show. Please HGTV, give us something more real.
... View MoreI have watched Fixer Upper repeatedly, re-runs and never get enough. Flip or Flop is so staged, so fake and her voice is like fingernails on a blackboard. Tonight is back to back Flip of Flop so I flip to another channel... Chip and Joanna Gains are fun to watch, they're every day people. Joanna doesn't try to look perfect, she's in her ball cap much of the time where Christina dresses as if "look at me"... You can tell she dresses for the camera and her acting skills are not the best. It's not interesting, it's the same show. If you've seen one you've seen them all. Property Brothers is also a good one. Love it or List it.... I enjoy and I hope they replace this Flip of Flop show soon with more Fixer Upper shows.
