Started watching yesterday, I have both seasons on DVD, recent acquisition. It was the boxes that drew me in. I saw the box covers on seller sites as I was scouting for other titles. The name rhymes with BARELY LEGAL which is something else entirely! But with a girl that hot on the box cover you could get me to go for L.A. LAW even. I'm not into courtroom dramas, I think I've got GUILTY AS SIN in my collection, and DYNASTY spend ages in court. All this just to point out that the theme is not my kind of thing. But Sarah Shahi sure is. She is amazing, especially on the close-ups, when she cocks her head, those eyes, okay, you get the picture, pretty lady, very likable character. The world needs mediators. And the world needs more Sarah Shahis.I appreciate that the main antagonist, the stepmother boss, is not a cardboard character. In fact, I cannot fault her. It's a much better approach than a cold villainess type.I'm not too thrilled about being up to my ears in lawyers for the next few weeks, but with S.S. to watch, fine, fine.Put another way, if it wasn't such a pretty lady, I wouldn't have been here.

This is one awful show. I can't imagine anyone that knows anything about law liking poorly written and acted show. The show misses on so many other marks as well and really seems juvenile. Why is the writing so cliché'? I would give a zero but seems its not an option. She is a mediator not a defense attorney not a prosecutor so why does she take sides. The first season was really bad but I watched it just so I could laugh at the writing and acting with my sister. This second season is too terrible and painful for us to watch. We now watch Psych to laugh. I'd rather watch a black and white, silent movie staring Nicholas Cage and Kevin Costner, zzzzzz.

Exactly as the title states, I want to like this show, I really do. I feel as though the premise has potential and the show itself showed a little potential at first. However, I find that that it has a nearly unwatchable quality about it, while the lead actress is decent, and the supporting cast is as well, they seem to need more direction, and they are working with some extremely over clichéd writing from time to time.Unfortunately, every element of the show seems to suffer from being too much. The plot of each episode tries to cram too much in to one story line which makes every one seem convoluted and adds to the cliché. Each character seems to have defining traits, but the defining traits are overpowering to human traits. The lead character is too good at everything and while I like that she has spunk, there is point where spunk becomes annoying and she crosses over occasionally. The side characters, though most seem to be adequately acted, are either very bland or overbearing and none of them seem terribly original.I wish I could say better things about this show because I like Sarah Shahi and I honestly think she is much better than what this show ended up being.

The show centers around a 25yr old girl (Sarah Shahi) who has given up being a lawyer to be a mediator. Someone who can solve an issue without it going to court. What they are portraying here is a pretentious perky girl running around and solving all problems as if by miracle. Everyone coyly agrees to any logic that she puts forward, and she is like a superhero! The supporting cast is equally underwhelming. There is not a single likable person! When I sit and think, the only good thing about this show is the beauty of San Francisco city. There are so many fantastic shows out there, Dexter, Fringe, House, Big Bang Theory, Homeland and so many many many. This one is a pass..........
