When I first heard about Dog with a Blog, I was looking forward to it. It sounded fun--a talking dog with a blog--and I enjoyed G. Hannelius in Sonny With a Chance as Dakota, the studio brat.In addition, it started out promisingly. There was a noticeable lack of crude humor, and the plots were simple and effective.Recently, however, the show has become very frustrating. There are times when the show is delightful, usually when Avery (Hannelius) and the little sister Chloe are on-screen. However, Dog with a Blog varies between brilliant writing and bland, clichéd writing with lots of potty humor. As mentioned earlier, acting isn't this show's strong point. Only Avery and Chloe can act. The rest of the cast is painful to watch, especially the parents. However, it's not the worst show on Disney or Nick right now. You could do something worse with thirty minutes than this.If you want a good sitcom on one of those channels, I recommend Lab Rats (or even Good Luck Charlie reruns). Stay away from anything after season 1 with this one.

This had absolutely NO POTENTIAL. The show is unfunny and tries to act like its professional, but it comes off as annoying. The acting is terrible, and half the characters act funny but they aren't. The best part of this show is easily the dog. But he even is bad. The dog's blog is such a minor part of this show. The dog isn't even the main character! The show focuses on Avery, a typical young girl on Disney channel, and don't worry everyone she is a good singer! We all know that you can't have a good Disney channel show if the main character wasn't a good singer (At least Shake it Up didn't advertise it). Lets start with characters. Stan- I've had a view chuckles at his lines, but the way he blogs is terrible because it's so easy to tell that his hands are puppets, similar to Mrs.Kipling in Jessie. Avery- Stalker, Crazy, insane. Tyler- Typical skater boy who has amazing hair and is a lady's man. Chloe- Worst part of the show. She is unfunny, and she has made some sexist comments. Ellen- One of the worst parts of the show. She is also unfunny, and is just plain annoying. Bennete- Oh, he is a character in this? I couldn't tell because he is too busy doing whatever he is doing! Seriously he isn't even in it enough to hate him! If you love this then you are either A: A little girl or B: An adult who has low expectations, and low standards. Don't watch this, I felt stupid after watching it.

OK, I have to admit this isn't the worst I've seen on Disney (Ant Farm, Shake It Up, Good Luck Charlie etc.) but it isn't GREAT either. The story lines and jokes aren't too bad. It's the characters that get me. Ellen, the stay at home dramatic mom. She is by far the worst. Her jokes and over acting are sometimes too much to bear. Tyler coming next. Tyler reminds me of a non singing Austin Moon to be honest. He's all about swag and getting the girls and all that but isn't the slightest bit funny or attractive. Benett isn't that bad. Usually funny. Averi is sometimes funny but most of the time is over- acting. Stan is my favorite personally. He is funny and doesn't over-act too much. I like Chloe a lot. She's cute and probably the best actor over all ironically.Sometimes I cringe over the cheesy jokes and all but I've also caught myself laughing. My daughter LOVES this show and I have seen it many times. I just think with some more realistic scenes, funnier actors and all, it wouldn't be that bad. I hope you'll find some time to look over the nice parts and not the horrible character choices and acting.

**MODERATE/STRONG SPOILERS ABOUT THE PLOT**O.K, the parents of three kids, brought a dog in the house and saved him for science experiments, however, he can talk, so they have to hide it from their parents. Hm, this sounds familiar... Oh yeah, in Hannah Montana is hiding her fame, and in WOWP, the kids hide being wizards. *facepalm* Man, It's a Laugh Productions really knows on how to make clichés!Anyway, the jokes are butt humor, p**p humor and sometimes fart jokes. The acting sucks! The actor of Avery is so untalented, annoying and she makes the face expression; and the character is selfish, and does not listen to her mom and dad. Cloe is another cliché ''young'' type character, and oh my God the actor of her makes me wanna become The Hulk! Tyler is another cliché ''stupid'' type character, however he is the only one that can ACT. I also hate mom and dad, they are irresponsible, unfair and annoying. The dog(Stan) had potential to be a good character, but his butt jokes and p**p jokes make him bad. The dialog and the script is also cliché and bad. The plots are so uninteresting and unoriginal that I turn off my TV after 2 minutesAnyway, this show brings nothing new to the table, another recycled sitcom by It's a Laugh Productions.
