Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency is one of the best shows out there. It's funny, interesting, and has fantastic characters. All the performances, even minor ones, are out of this world. I sincerely recommend this to anyone who likes weird and funny shows. It will be your best watch in a while.

This show is so boring that despite my valiant effort to keep watching, I couldn't go beyond 1.5 hrs on it - and I truly regret making the effort. It's not funny, not witty, not suspenseful, and you won't care about the characters one bit - the detective is a fast-talking, Pee-Wee looking and Sheldon wannabe, it's a disastrous combination that's beyond annoying and not the least bit funny. As to any mystery, 1.5 hrs in, it's still building it. Who has that kind of time to spend on a hopelessly uninteresting show? It's a sad example of how not to make a TV show. No wonder it got canceled. When I first read the reviews, somehow I didn't notice the 1-star reviews. Wish I did, then I'd save my time. Trust me, you can still save yours!

A beautiful use of the imaginative creations of one of the all time loved writes. Excellent writing and classic humor. Just when you think things get any weirder they do, but in the end it's all connected.

Everything this show does is perfect. Amazing representation, badass woman, main LGBT+ characters, good baddies, very quotable (everything is connected) and the gorgeous sunshine bean that is Dirk Gently himself. I've read the books and I am a huge Douglas Adams fan but do not go into this show expecting any similarities to the books. Yes it has a similar general gist but it practically different in every way. But in all the ways that it is different it is improved. Unfortunately it was recently cancelled but I still recommend watching it. We can still bring it back if more people watch it hopefully the boosted ratings will help change their minds.
