Tired, stale jokes delivered by unlikable, one-dimensional cardboard cutout characters, with a liberal helping of humor that wants to be absurd, but reads like the scriptwriters just wrote random words on the wall and then threw darts at it. Take a plot outline that could be described in detail in three sentences or less, add in some casual racism and bigotry, stir until it's completely muddled, and you have Deadbeat in a nutshell.The best thing about this show is when the credits end, and I'll be going out of my way to avoid anything by Miller, Heller or Labine, as the writing, directing and acting are universally awful. Hands-down the worst of Hulu's "Originals". They should probably just stick to buying in quality content from overseas and pretending it's "Original", if this is the best they can manage to buy in for themselves.

The show is a little corny but the more I watched it the more interesting it became. The story is great. It's a fun show to watch and laugh. It brings laughter so it's not a flop. I like it although I'm only in the second season but will continue to watch it. I have seen much worse before. To recap it's a fun little show just not real serious and that's sometimes a good thing. :)

Completely awful, really disappointing as I am a fan of Hulu. The show was pathetic and I agree with another review saying that the "rave reviews" must be fake.. Netflix does great a great job in contrast with original series. I would think that if Hulu is trying to work with original content, it would filter and do a good job. Instead, this show is completely cringe-worthy where I was absolutely appalled at what I was watching. I know people may have different opinions on humor but I really can't imagine someone loving this show. I watched it with my boyfriend and although we have different sense of humor, he also thought it was a pathetic attempt at entertainment. This is my first review on IMDb and it was bad enough to make me register to post this opinion. Don't waste your time.

looking for another original to watch at night. Me and the wife came across this show on Hulu. Guy who sees ghosts and comedic ally helps them pass on?? Couldn't pass it up. It is a funny show, can't wait for the next season . It's hard to find a show that both the wife and I can watch together. I guess it takes a special kind of humor to bring us together. Good plot , likable and hate-able characters. Glad we found this show. Latest episode definitely left us wanting more. The situations this guy finds himself in really give a feel of real life, or how things would really be if people like this existed. One of my favorites. Just watch and see.
