I liked this show because the storylines were much more "out there" than in the regualr Criminal Minds series. The whole premise of this show is that this Red Cell team is more urgently needed because the serial killers are bad at being sneaky and need to be caught quickly, rather than the murders killing for decades under the radar. Sometimes the bad guys were more messed up than in the orginal seriesHowever, after watching all 13 seasons of the original series, it was hard to watch the Red Cell team come to some of the conclusions in Suspect Behavior. Occasionally their conclusions came from no where, as it was obviously just written in the script and they were reciting it. Other times, things were very obvious and it took them the entire episode to figure it out. Overall, it was interesting to see the stories unfold and make fun of the writing, as someone who wants to write things myself. BUT I am quite irritated that there was no follow up to the Season One finale! I really want to know how that cliffhanger ends. I'm sure they filmed it so please, if you're reading this, dearest producers: Release it. Like online or something. Thanks.

It started off feeling rushed and pushed but by the 7th or 8th episode they found their stride, unfortunately we'll never knew the end of the cliff hanger that they left us on in episode 13. I enjoyed how they started to bring in the characters back stories, but it did take until the 5th or 6th episode to get there. The first 3 episodes were scattered and rushed as if they didn't know exactly where they were going to go with it. I really enjoyed the cross over of Penelope Garcia from the original Criminal Minds. I hope Netflix picks this up if the actors schedules are available, however since it's already been about 5 years since this show was canceled, I highly doubt it will get picked up.

I watch Criminal Minds from a Cinamatographer's standpoint you DP does a great job filming the show. you mus be using Panavision Cameras, I watch the show looking for camera angles, lighting, following the actor, keeping the actor in frame.you are probably using dolly cranes and camera dolly to follow an actor down a street or in a hallway keeping the actor in frame when you zoom for a CU is important. your shot is with film then edited add music sound effects special effects after all that is done then you can put it in the can( convert to DVD) back in the day I worked for a short time for Paramount all the Star Trek TV shows were shot with film your DP is doing a great job keep up the good workStan Bollinger

Whatever it is, don't be expecting the characters to jump off with colorful personalities and lovable quirks. Suspect Behavior is what you'd call a toned-down version of Criminal Minds added with a splotch of depression and coffee stains. It's darker, more monotonous and well, drab. But it's not that bad, not at all.I heard people complaining about the cast, but I don't see the problem. They work out fine, if only you give some time to watch a few episodes. Whithaker's character as Cooper gets a little more interesting with each episode, and he's different from the normal profiler, which I must say, is kinda intriguing. All the characters have a problem, or a history, but the show takes it very slow to show you these things and they show it in subtle ways. It all depends on whether you have the patience to watch through this series to find out.Suspect Behavior can't really be compared to the solid Criminal Minds, and I suppose that the creators wanted to take a break and start off new with a different style and cast. I mean, after the long, long stretch of Criminal Minds with all their twists and turns, maybe Suspect Behaviour was meant to slow things down a notch and start again. To tell the truth, I like the moody pacing of the series, cause it's perfect to watch when you're tired of following fast-paced series that you can digest in one bite. Currently, I'm just watching Suspect Behavior while working on the computer, that is, I just listen to the movie and occasionally turn to watch it.If you like Criminal Minds, chances are you'll dislike this series when you first watch it. But try to step back, detach from Criminal Minds and their world, and watch Suspect Behavior as themselves. Maybe you'll find something new and interesting that wasn't there in Criminal Minds. All in all, not such a bad series, but there's space for improvement.
