Jules (Courteney Cox) is divorced from her slacker husband Bobby Cobb (Brian Van Holt) and living in a cul-de-sac in a Florida town with her son Travis (Dan Byrd). She's a real estate agent with flighty Laurie Keller (Busy Philipps). Her best friend Ellie Torres (Christa Miller) is married to Andy Torres (Ian Gomez). She falls for Grayson Ellis (Josh Hopkins) who lives across the street. Tom (Bob Clendenin) is the weird doctor who also lives in the cul-de-sac. The group drinks wine and hangs out.The cul-de-sac gang is a fun alcoholic wacky group. That's the most important part of these traditional sitcoms. It has the similar wackiness as Bill Lawrence's previous show Scrubs. The change to TBS didn't change it too much although it did indicate a slow inevitable decline. After a few seasons, the show became repetitive and safe. It is a little weird to have Travis go with Laurie. It tied down Laurie from having wild adventures and it stopped Travis' hopeless romantic search. It felt like the show closed off two avenues of possibilities to go down one road with limitations. The show eventually runs out of stories.

I love this TV show. Courtney Cox coming back to the small screen is just fantastic. With a great cast and funny story lines, this show can do no wrong. Even getting cancelled didn't stop this show. This show is about a forty-something divorced woman getting back on the dating scene. The first few episodes of the show is actually her being a cougar, dating younger men, but then it turns to be a nice story about a woman dating someone her age. That is the reason why, at one point, they were going to change the name of the show. But they decided to keep it. I love this show so much. All of the cast are great actors and actresses, and the characters are everything you would hope for. Overall, I give this show a 10 out of 10.

first of all, sorry for my grammar.I'm a huge series lover, like Glee,Friends, Seinfield and Scrubs. Sitcoms are hard to do, the ones who do Best is Friends, Seinfield and Big Bang Theorie. Cougar Town is very original. It doesn't have nerds involved or much break ups and crying scenes which most of the series do. I has made it own standard of humor. Jules, which is a single mom is just amazing. Which mom says '' Heres your laundry, I used lavender because I know how you like to smell as a B*tch , I'm out '' to her sun..... That is original. Eli, which is by far my favorite character in the show, is an sarcastic woman, very sarcastic. And Laurie, well , I think she is over-acting, yes its a bad thing, not everything can be good, but her humor (scripted of course) Is so much fun! At every time I watch a episode I just have to tweet one of the many quotes they say. Its an awesom series and It deserves for sure more then just 7 stars. I think the problem with series is they are compared, compared and compared. I used to do it with Friends which I've seen too many times. And one day, when I said to myself, I'm gonna give Cougar Town a shot and go open minded, I felt everything was new, like if it was the first sitcom ever! Courtney does a wonderful job and so as well as the rest of the cast. I think this is one of the best shows ever and should not be canceled ( so I've hear ).Still my number one stays Friends, and this show comes as third. Walking Dead as second (: I hope I convinced you to see at least the first season so you could change your mind.

I have nothing much to say about this sitcom , but i can say it was one of the most painful experiences of my life. I didn't watch the whole show, only the first 5 episodes and it was bad. In one episode it made me laugh once, maybe twice. For me, a comedy show must be hilarious all the time, not only for 2 moments per episode. This is just a sad attempt to be funny. It was also boring as hell. Not only is the show not funny, it's written so badly it's embarrassing. Maybe it's a good show for some people, but i don't think there are much men who like this. Too bad that i'm a man i guess ...
