This show is truly amazing. In the past two years, Nick has done some awful things with little good things like "The Loud House" and Harvey Beaks" Scattered around there. This show is about a beast that goes to middle school alongside his best human friend Mikey. The plot is very intriguing and I thing Butch Hartman can do more good to Nick with it.

Most Nickelodeon shows today are either a live action sitcom with bad acting and a laugh track every 5 seconds for someone getting hurt and people getting bullied or a show filled with bathroom humor like Sanjay and Craig. But this is different compared to other nickelodeon shows it has very few toilet jokes and great backgrounds the animation may be bad but the backgrounds is what matters more. I like cartoony shows like Gumball and SpongeBob this has the same humor. Nickelodeon has a lot of bad shows but it also has a lot of good shows today. The great ones are this , SpongeBob , Harvey Beaks , Hunter Street , TMNT and probably Welcome to the Wayne since the first 7 episodes were very good. I have mixed feeling about The Loud House and Ride. FOP has gone really bad over the years since Sparky came. I love this show but in needs more airtime because it seems like SpongeBob and The Loud House get the most. Both of those shows have very high ratings so we need to boost up BIAB ratings.

This show is extremely bland and generic. When I first heard this was made by Butch Hartman, I was pretty shocked to hear that the guy who made The Fairly OddParents and Danny Phantom, managed to make such a forgettable, one-dimensional show, featuring a concept that's been done hundreds of times before. The animation is lazy, even for Flash. The characters have no personality and they all fall into stereotypes, that we've seen many times before. Unlike with FOP and DP, we get no introduction to the show, and no explanation as to how Bunsen came to be and how he entered the life of Mikey. The first episode just starts, with them already being friends, expecting the audience to just accept the fact that a boy is friends with a monster. The main villain, Amanda, is very dull and her main goal is to get rid of Bunsen. Her motive to do this is unclear and apparently non-existent. Every character plays the role of someone like the villain, comic relief, best friend, love interest, etc. but none of them do anything new with it. Every episode is just as bland as the characters, lacking any intriguing stories or funny jokes.I find it amazing that such a bland show came from such an amazing writer. At least most of the time, when good writers go bad, you can tell they're at least trying to do something new. This time, it seemed like he just came up with the idea off the top of his head and produced the overall, idea for the series in a couple minutes. Bunsen is a Beast is a very mediocre and unfunny show and if you gave it a chance, you'd find yourself bored to death, halfway through the first episode.

Having seen several episodes of this show I have gone in with an open mind each time, but every time I try to watch it just seems irritating. The show centers around two main characters Bunsen and Mikey, both these characters to me come across as bland and unlike-able.Bunsen has an incredibly annoying voice, this can make watching scenes with him extremely tedious and being as he's the main character it means long exposure to it.Mikey's voice is slightly more tolerable. My main issue with him is his design, being a big fan of Hartman's art style I was incredibly disappointed with how it all looks. Mikey especially looks awkward. We also learn nothing about how Mikey is friends with the beasts. A simple back story or commentary at the beginning could of helped improve this.Well that's the main characters out of the way so let's talk about the side characters. There isn't really that many to choose from. Amanda acts as the villain here but her motivations are unknown which makes it hard to care or get invested with her character. Her design looks pretty ugly. The teacher, not much I can say about her, but one thing I noticed is that she does her job horribly. To the point where she says that she basically didn't know that she is a teacher, I know this is played for laughs but it just made her seem super stupid. The jokes in this show are some of the worst jokes I've heard, I found myself just face-palming whenever a joke is mentioned. The delivery is off and they usually make no sense. The story isn't much better, with poor pacing continuity. The show seems to jump from different scenes in an awkward way. the overall episode plots just fall flat as there either stupid or boring. Overall this show to me is a major disappointment, it's not like I can even say its a first attempt from a new animator and give it a little excuse. But this is from Butch Hartman, who has worked on and created so many different shows, so it shouldn't feel this amateur, but sadly it does. I hope this show can improve, but I shall sadly no longer be watching it.
