I would have never even bothered to watch this show if it wasn't for cable. There was this advertisement saying this show has won this many awards and etc. which made me compelled to check it out. Probably the best decision I made because this show made me re-think about the shows I watch and also think about reality.James Spader and William Shatner is unbelievable. Shatner as "Danny Crane" is superb to watch. The way Spader gives a "closing" just blows your mind. With his passion and acting, the facts may be true or false, but you will believe every word that comes out of "Alan Shore" in the court room. I will never forget his "closing" against a big tobacco company.Another thing is how this show, shows all types of discrimination in the working world. Skin, height, behavior and how you ignore the best in people because of these. Show is entertaining in many ways but the issue was too much political discussions. This may be a reason it stopped, because I can't think of another, it is that good!! However it is better to end like this than dragging way too long......

Normally I am not keen on TV series that revolve around law and order, as they tend to be tedious, repetitive and indistinguishable from one another - if you've seen one, you've seen them all.I accidentally got to watch two episodes of "Boston Legal" on TV during a lazy day of being struck down with flu. And it might have been the fever or delirium causing it, but those two episodes actually sparked an interest in me. Why? Well because of the characters that worked at the law firm. They were all unique, extreme in their own way and hilarious, yet also they had depth and so much personality. So I ended up starting to watch the series almost daily as it is running (well, re-running) on TV here in Denmark. It is actually fun to watch these quirky lawyers and councilors take on the various cases that land on their desks, although it get a bit repetitious that they usually always win their cases, that aspect is just a bit too stupid in my opinion. However, it is really the interesting characters and their drama that makes this series work so well. Personally I enjoy these characters the most; Alan Shore (played by James Spader), Denny Crane (played by William Shattner) Jerry Espenson (played by Christian Clemenson), Bethany Horowitz (played by Meredith Eaton) and Clarence (played by Gary Anthony Williams). But that being said, doesn't mean that the rest of the characters aren't interesting, because they are. They have a lot of really great actors and actresses in the series, aside from those I just listed above. Great names such as Candice Bergen, Rene Auberjonois, Mark Valley, Julie Bowen, John Larroquette, Henry Gibson, and many more.Normally I don't pay much attention to music in TV series, but the score they use in "Boston Legal" is actually good. It is some rather unusual music, quirky and catchy in a way, which really work out well."Boston Legal" approaches the whole law and order TV series aspect with a big amount of comedy and some really out of the ordinary characters, and that is what makes it stand out from the many other TV series about lawyers. "Boston Legal" is great fun to watch, and it also has some pretty intense moments in the courts of law.

I'm one of those people who isn't very fond of the judicial system and especially lawyers however Boston Legal is more about humanity than anything else. Every second of every episode is filled either with tactful humor or profound worldly idealism that leave you emotionally stirred. It made me think about life unlike any other show in this respect. The relationships between the characters is, in itself, enough reason to watch. Alan Shore (James Spader) is the single most fathomless character I have had the pleasure of encountering on screen. David E. Kelley's creation doesn't fail to entertain (and somehow enlighten) even for a moment.

P****d me off from episode 1.Again, why is it not possible to rate a title with 0 stars, IMDb? Boston Legal is a boring show about a bunch of arrogant full of them selves a-hole lawyers who treat all women including their co-workers like s***t and love them selves so much that they keep talking about themselves in the third person telling us their full names 5 or 6 times per episode. PLEASE S.T.F.U. ALREADY!! A chubby James Spader, plays the lead and his character is a total dirt-bag. There is not a single likable or even remotely interesting character on this show but Spaders character is the worst of them. All the women on the show are of course gorgeous as this is a male chauvinist show, but even though I'm a guy who enjoys female eye-candy,that cannot keep me interested in this snooze fest. The show tries to be funny and clever but it's just incredibly stupid!! I only watched the first three episodes, but that was plenty.Boston Legally Boring is one of those shows that should have been axed after the pilot.
