Now, I'll be honest I can acknowledge flaws in anime and I'm not partial to any particular ones. But I respectfully didn't care for this one. The first problem is the amount of filler, which is on par with Naruto and Rurouni Kenshin. Most of the fillers don't even connect with the story and don't even have the redeeming quality of being all that funny. The second problem is the characters. While some of them are well developed and unique in their own regard, we get others that feel like add ons to keep the story going.The third problem is the plot. It goes in circles. It feels like every time we finish a training arc we get a rescue mission. And the fourth and most notable problem is the pacing: most of the fights last 10 episodes and they are often interrupted by talking about the move they just did. In the middle of war? C'mon.So I can safely say I wouldn't recommend this to anyone who isn't a fan of long running shonen.

Some need-to-know information before I provide my review: I'm a 27-year-old female who ALWAYS poo-poo'ed on all anime ever. I was stubborn and closed-minded. My fiancé caught an episode of Bleach one night on Cartoon Network, became obsessed and tried to convince me to try ONE episode... I still refused.One boring day, fiancé convinced me to give him ONE HOUR (about 3 episodes) of Bleach to see if I changed my mind, and boy did I. I have become absolutely, unhealthily obsessed with this show and although I'm only on episode 142, I'm sad that it ends "soon" (366 episodes).Seasons 1-3 have an amazing story arc that is absolutely impossible to tear away from. The story arc beginning in season 4, for me, was an incredible let-down. Had I not been in bed with mono, I would have quit then. Luckily it picked up again and I'm back to fangirling like a teenager.As mentioned, I'm in the middle of season 7 at this time and obviously cannot vouch for the remaining seasons. Currently, the plot is engaging, the characters are well developed, and the desire to see what could happen next is kept strong. Give it a shot!

So first off I have never really been a cartoon watcher. Yeah l remember watching a couple of episodes of Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh etc, but no show has ever captivated me more than Bleach.I saw a friend watching Bleach the other day at the University l attend and asked what he was watching, he said ''Oh dude, this show is amazing, best anime I've ever watched'' As I've never been an anime watcher l dismissed the show at first, but the next day he was still watching it, so decided to sit next to him and see what the fuss was about, he was up to Episode 267 and it was the main character Kurosaki Ichigo and another weird looking dude having an amazing fight. I was hooked 10 minutes into viewing the show.I went home and downloaded the first few seasons and currently l am up to Episode 63 and am totally addicted. This was only 2 weeks ago! 60 episodes in 2 weeks is an addiction! Kurosaki Ichigo is a 15 year old High Schooler who suddenly comes in contact with a ''Shinigami'' which is Japanese for ''Death God''. Her name is Kuchiki Rukia. The story begins there. The character development, the storyline, the character interaction and writing is all top notch, and l really like how each character has a specific role in the show and are not there just to fill in the numbers. Also violence plays a big part in this show which l love, being an 18 year old male. The attention to detail in the storyline is also immaculate. It is impossible for you to lose track of the story due to how detailed it is with the odd flashback filling in minor details which all the time answer your question on a specific character or event. I cannot wait to watch the rest of the series, with 300 episodes to go, I expect it to get so much better. I am planning on writing a review when l have completed viewing all 360 odd episodes hopefully in the near future.Highly addicting, and so entertaining. If you're an anime fan watch this, if you're someone looking for something different and unusual to watch, watch this please. I promise you, you will not be disappointed.Just a little sidenote, this anime is for people 13 and over. Definitely not a children's anime with a ton of violence and the odd swear word appearing every now and again. Plus watch this with English subtitles, experiencing the show in Japanese is how it should be. OK first off this show was really for a while then it started to pull a death note.it starts off good but then gradually gets worse and worse.There are retarded plot twists later in the show and they didn't need to happen.Too many episodes!!!! This anime is over 15 seasons and 300 episodes! The plot starts to get so stupid,confusing,and worst of all.... THE VOICE ACTING SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!! Johnny Yong Bosch sells his character very well but some of the others just suck.Overall I give it a 5.Good idea then just gets completely retarded and ends abruptly.
