Okay there are bad TV shows and then there are truly AWFUL TV shows. How did this even get to the casting stage? And what where these actors thinking to even agree to do this?

I put this up there with The Strain and The Exorcist. I am a supernatural fanatic and this is really in line with what I like. Some humans gone mad, some humans possessed by demons and then the other supernatural beings, also. And not to mention the end of days and the natural phenomenons. All supernatural fans should really enjoy this show. It's not about flying zombies or any other idiot thing that some have written. I enjoy this show and I hope more do, too.This show should have a higher rating on this site, especially when you look at the rigged ratings of, let's say, LaLa Land and The Arrival.

like another reviewer said, it grows on you after 3 episodes! definitely worth to binge watch it. I think the show is been over criticize and badly judge,like Z nation. in my opinion, the Family members have well developed characters that grow well as the season advance. The mom and dad are physical actors and The mom is The alpha in the couple, why not, she is the one with an army background. She play her role perfectly an with enthusiasm . Each episodes keep moving locations and events, new characters shows up, situations have to be dealt with or resolve, lots of action and movements. The dialogues are cheesy as can be the drama sometimes, but there is also great comments and acting/reacting too. This apocalyptic end of the world show is made for diversion and enjoyment of its excess and implausible reality. its definitely worth 7 as a first season, like z nation give it a chance and enjoy it. way better in character then some of the more intellectual or true to science TV show that get 8+

I had to chime in here as I think it's unfair to review this show before watching the whole season. First, this is science fiction, it's OK to have some plot holes. If you bothered to watch the whole season, those holes fill right up into something you may not have expected. Please put your expectations away and just enjoy the ride. Being an avid science fiction lover I truly enjoyed Aftermath. Each episode left me wanting to see the next and was unpredictable. It has all the elements of a science fiction series: science, survival, apocalypse, family, prophecy and yes spiritual (not religious) elements. This show attempts to bring together the spiritual and science. I'm not sure how well it succeeds with that, but I applaud the effort and am interested in seeing where the writers will take us if there is a next season. I urge watchers to watch the whole season before judging. Although this is not a perfect show by any means it deserves recognition for what it is. It's a science fiction TV series and a fun and interesting ride!
