Yes I keep coming back to this show, ever since i was a junior in highschool and now i am 27 years old, and i still truly enjoy it. but definitely this show is not for every one. A lot of people who are were practically in-visible in highschool (no offense), or jealous poor kids from their rich counterparts, or east coast fanatics are obviously never going to get this. But this is a show with beautiful selective cast, great L.A vibe and just very bright and cheerful in general without being a comedy. Overall excellent simple yet full of life show. LOVE 90210 modern version. A very very sexy show

I loved it. It was funny but sad so I think they did a great job with it. I hope you watch it if you already haven't. I think its a great way to get stress off your mind by watching other people's stress. Really is a great show. Its on Netflix for those of you who have it. I'm British, love classical music (and have no taste for most modern music, I must confess), and like intelligent shows, like Sherlock, and intelligent films, like Inception / the Prestige. So, looking at 90210, you'd think a person like me would absolutely HATE a show about a group of rich 'airhead' Beverly hill teens, and their problems with things like their hair, or their cars, etc.What a shock I got! It may get off to a rocky start as the actors get into their groove, but once it gets going, this programme is FANTASTIC! The Characters are really well played, and you really develop a tie with them - many moments are heart-wrenching. It has completely revolutionised my perception of American teens - I realise this is probably dramatised, and most Yankee teens are not 'airheads' anyway, but this show really opened my eyes.The acting is top-notch, the plots are suspenseful and painful in some places, while joyous and uplifting in others. It tackles very big issues, bigger than I first realised, from sexuality and 'coming out', to cancer, to drugs, to economic troubles, to the 'curse' that fame brings with it - the list goes on. They are not under-stated, nor are they over-dramatised; the programme is entertaining, yet thoughtful.With compelling characters who I feel I have known now for five years, I have learnt a lot, developed a liking for some modern music, and can safely say it is the best drama TV show I have ever seen, if not the best show full stop.Watch it - give it a chance - and for 99 out of 100 of you who read this, you will love it! I give you my word.

Okay so there's a lot of mixed reviews on this show, criticising it for it's premise and mainly season 1 which tried too much to be the success that the original was.However, in the past seasons it has became a show in it's own right. It has a range of different characters, a few are annoying but others quite inspirational through their story lines. Yes this is a 'teen' drama but it has focused on story lines shocking story lines such as disability, mental illness and rape. The rape storyline was handled really well and realistically. Some of the other plots however are bit foreseeable such as people constantly ending up in car crashes. But that overall doesn't take away too much from an enjoyable watching experience.If you take away the extreme wealth and limitless opportunities, it is a very good show and I'm hoping it carries on to season 6.
