As many others of this kind, - and in the french movie industry, there are whole batches like this one - this anti war movie was hardly watched by audiences during its release in theatres. I am not so surprised to see no one has commented it yet. Only the point line is written above. So I won't repeat it; no use. It's a very poignant, and also depressing tale, a war time melodrama which grabs you the guts from the beginning to the end. Don't see it if you are depressed. If not, warn your physician before the viewing !!!That's one of the first films in which Marion Cotillard played.
