"Transmorphers" is the worst movie I have reviewed for Direct To Video Month and I have to apologize to "Leprechaun: Back 2 Da Hood". Apart from the fact that the title would make you think it was a ripoff of "Transformers" when it mostly isn't, the special effects are terrible. They might be even worse than in "George Of The Jungle 2". I'm surprised this isn't in the IMDb Bottom 100. Do they not allow direct to video films to be featured there? They probably should. This is mostly a ripoff of "The Terminator" which some of "The Matrix" thrown in.Most of this movie is painfully boring as it's nothing but people talking. I don't care in the least about any of these unbearably dull characters. They have no personality other than being annoying. Everyone in this movie is annoying. The film's pacing is terrible. We get about the first thirty minutes with nothing but setup for what's going to happen next. We get stupid looking action scenes with pitiful CGI robots being defeated. On top of all that, it's an ugly looking film. There's not even that much to say because there's nothing that really happens in this movie. We get dumb scene after dumb scene of stuff being shot up. There's some story and twists about robots. There are probably a million plot holes that I could go over, but I honestly wasn't even paying that much attention because it was such a vile looking film. I think the creators may have been sued for plagiarism once or twice, but they need to just stop making movies. It's a disorganized mess from beginning to end. 1/2 star

...is how I would describe this film if movies like "Transformers," "The Terminator," and "The Matrix" were never made. However, since those films do exist, "Transmorphers" becomes nothing more that a Sci/Fi ripoff. Writer/Director Leigh Scott, apparently, believes that it is appropriate film making to take scenes from several different successful movies and put them all together in one script. Transmorphers, as a result, is nothing more than a Sci/Fi potpourri of the last two decades in Hollywoood. Scott seems to even get "inspiration" from movies like "Demolition Man" and Saturday morning cartoons like "Gobots."The acting is labored and one-dimensional. These actors/actresses have the range of a slingshot, which is not uncommon for a film by The Asylum. The dialogue is meaningless, pointless, and practically inaudible. The special effects are beyond terrible to the point of laughable. R2D2 and Johnny 5 are more menacing than these robots.Save your time...save your money...save your sanity...avoid this movie.

I get the strongest impression that not none of these actors were hired for their acting talent. Truth to tell, I've seen better acting in community theatre. The acting level here reminds me of a very old joke about an actress who was leaving Hollywood. She'd been offered a position as a department store mannequin. The one she was replacing was too emotional. And the writing reminds me of a comic strip that's almost as old as that joke: "Uncle Cosmo, why do they call it a Word Processor?" "It's really very simple, Skyler. You've seen what food processors do to food?" (2011-09-29)

I do not understand how this movie was ever released. I think if you are going to use such crappy CGI or special effects, the flick might as well be a cartoon instead. That would have made it easier to stomach and watch. I actually had to get drunk just to handle 3/4 of this film, which is how far I made it into the movie before rushing this embarrassment back to the local blockbuster store. The funny part is that I rented the video by mistake, because I was in a hurry and thought it was the movie transformers. Which I believe is the biggest reason anybody rents this film, accidentally thinking it's the hit transformers. I am sorry to anybody that had the stomach to finish watching this movie. Hopefully there are no sequels.
