I'm not going to do an in-depth analysis of this book-selling propaganda, simply because it is not worth it. Rather just warn people that you will get nothing "life changing" or even remotely close to that, out of this movie. The general message is fine - stay positive and good things will happen to you, but that is the only positive thing I can say about that. The rest is a smelly wave of fake desperate Americans trying to sell the dream like any other commercial product. Unfortunately I think this peace of fiction really reflects how sick our current society is. This ""DOCUMENTARY!?"" as Netflix calls it, is unintelligent, uninspiring and most of all a superficial piece of crap (excuse me) targeted at uneducated people (so naturally the US) who are naive enough to put their trust (and MONEY) in almost anything, as long as the pay-off is vast and effortless.Honestly, shame on you for creating this absurdity and trying to draw parallels with great men like Einstein, Shakespeare, Newton etc.. This is purebred garbage.

Some reviewers tried to make a show out of their "knowledge" of psychology, but they totally missed the point of this film, and this concept, in doing so. Not to mention the fact that they are arrogant enough to think they know something no one else does- how energy and the universe work. I highly doubt anyone sitting around writing movie reviews on IMDb was given any sort of glimpse into the inner workings of the universe, so please ignore their cynicism. It does nothing to help and will only hinder those truly truly trying to better their lives.Saying that "positive thinking is good for starting a venue, but..." already sets you up to sound small-minded and cynical. There is absolutely nothing you can say to negate the fact that this practice of believing in yourself and using positive thinking to gain success has no down side whatsoever. Not to mention there are thousands of stories from people all over the world, including many multiple lottery winners (I believe one person had won over 10,000 dollars each win, of which they had 7 or 8), who use this strategy every day in their lives. I can say that I have used this process and have seen tremendous success with it myself.Bottom line, it works for those who believe it will work. If you are cynical and egotistical and wish to bring other people down to "reality" (which, by the way is only one person's reality and is usually built on negativity if this is their stance) by throwing out misunderstood psychological data and "big" words to make themselves seem too "educated" to believe such nonsense. The fact is that these people have almost certainly tried it themselves or they're scared of success, which is a common reason for people to knock this movie or this concept. This film gives a great baseline for which to build this practice into your life, although many are left with questions as to how to get around certain roadblocks and how to ask the "right way", etc. There are books out there that go into more depth as far as step-by-step descriptions. This is more of the jump start to inspire you and get you interested in practicing this way of life. I tell everyone I know to watch this film or read the book and start implementing this practice. There is absolutely no downside and you have everything to gain by doing it. There are no limitations and no reasons to put it off. It works, period. I don't know how, but I know that it does. Don't let those Negative Nancies we all know, who love to try to knock down the light they see in others, talk you into believing you are foolish to even contemplate this idea as being factual. Their opinions don't have to be true for you and they aren't based on facts any more than anyone else's opinions anyway. Give it your best shot and watch it change your life for the better!!

This was well done but smelled of a hidden agenda. I was always waiting to hear that "The secret" would ultimately be linked to one's "relationship to a Christian God." To the crew's credit they did not overtly claim that your happiness had to be through their "God" but, particularly toward the end of the movie, there was a significant uptick in the mention of "God." The contributors also repeatedly referred to the need "for absolute faith," and the need to have "complete blind faith." Using the Cosmos and Universe as a simile to segue into religiosity is coming more and more common with evangelicals. I REALLY didn't like that fact that EVERY SINGLE contributor interviewed on camera linked happiness to materialism. EVERYONE of them talked of happiness as a new car, a bigger home, making a million dollars, etc. In fact most of the interviewees, talked about their material gains as the source of their attraction and happiness. It's pretty sad when not one contributor (NOT ONE) talks about less materialistic, and less selfish things like reducing crime, poverty, etc.as a source of happiness, attraction, and attainment.Lastly, after one hour I found myself wondering if the movie would ever move on. What I mean by this, and is repeated in previous reviews, is that it goes on ad nauseum about "the secret." What is said in the first 15 minutes of the film, is repeated over, and over, and over, and over, for the next hour plus. They just rephrased the verbiage. This was obviously a sermon being preached to the viewer but just less obvious. Insidious at best.

To be honest I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. I believe their message was a direct hit. The reason I believe that is all I had to do was look at my life. The things that have happened to me have been good, bad and ugly. The one thing they all had in common was where I was at mentally. When I feel angry I get anger in return. When I feel happy I get Happiness. When I wanted a house on the water I got a house on the water. When I felt like getting in a fight one always found me. I believe that if everyone truly looked at their lives they would see the same pattern. When you want something it doesn't magically fall out of the sky it takes time to attract the tools and people to help you achieve it. If you don't believe it guess what? It is not true. You attract what you think. Period.
