I had to cry in the end. I just imagine how many have suffered similar faiths. It is a wonderful film. Great actors. Great photography.One thing that also makes me sad, almost every film has lower ratings than it deserves! I honestly don't understand people who have to be so harsh on everything. That is why I give 10 stars to every film of tv show I loved! Great job everyone, this was a well made story.

I came upon this movie by accident, I had never heard of this movie so I looked it up and read some of the reviews and a lot of them were excellent and some were not so good so I decided to watch it and give it a chance. This movie was so touching. I could totally see this happening back then when the story line had taking place. I cried at the end of the movie. It touched my heart. I would totally suggest you watch it.

This movie touches your heart. It brought me to tears more than once. Perhaps it tells nothing new, but it definitely important not to forget. The lives of so many women who were cast away merely by gossip and envy. How rough the system was. And I take it back, the story isn't new but it isn't old either. Many women from around the world still live in similar systems. That's why is so important that brilliant films such as this one keep being made. Everyone should see it. The actor did a splendid job too. You will not end this movie without being deeply moved by its story.

As I listen to the ending song of this film I am touched with tears of sadness and joy at the same time.This was a most unexpected film that I really did not want to watch initially because of the subject matter. Some stories are just too difficult for me to watch that deal with real life, although this was a fictional story as far as I know.The acting by the excellent cast was outstanding especially Ms. Vanessa Redgrave and Rooney Mara.The end was most unexpected and quite surprising. If this subject matter is too difficult to watch just keep watching; I promise it will be worth every minute.
