The Room is the greatest mess in cinematic history. It is the Citizen Kane of bad movies. It is the answer to the question of what would happen if something went so far below a zero that it somehow became a 10.This movie is unwatchably watchable. If you were to sit down and try to watch take this seriously, it would feel like you're being stabbed in the head. But sitting down to watch this as a delusional vanity project gone awry and it becomes one of the best 90 minutes you'll get out of a film. The Room is what the result would be if an alien species studied late 90's soap opera TV, had a computer program amalgamate a script and then was performed by the aliens in human skin like the first Men In Black movie. There's a sad truth in film though. While its a mess, its clearly written from some place of truth or experience in Tommy Wiseau's heart. There's something of a biopic going on here, where nice guy Johnny gets manipulated, lied to and taken advantage of by the people close to him. A lot of the dialogue sounds like something from a bitter ex-lover.

The Room is literally the Citizen Kane of bad movies. The acting is terrible and lots of subplots. But, before I watched this film, I heard somewhere on YouTube and saw the title "The Room" so I assumed it was just some crappy horror film and forgot about it. I had no idea who Tommy Wiseau was, until The Disaster Artist came out. So as you can guess, I got curious. And I watched the film. It was NOT what I thought it was. It was just so weird and odd. It's not just Tommy Wiseau who's odd, every actor in this film seems odd. The film is about a successful banker named Johnny (Tommy Wiseau) who live happily in San Francisco with his fiancée, or "future wife" Lisa (Julliete Dannielte). Until she gets board for no reason, and cheats on him with his best friend Mark (Greg Sestro). From there on, nothing will be the same. This is one of those films where it's so bad it's good. And I am a big fan of this movie and can't stop watching it. Tommy Wiseau himself has stated that this film was always meant to be a comedy, so I guess it was never actually meant to be taken seriously. Now, I've talked a lot about the bad stuff, but let's talk about the good stuff.I think the reason why people still watch this film is because it brings people together. All over the world there's midnight screenings of it and people love it and laugh together and throw footballs to each other. It's very funny and I highly recommend it.When I watch The Room today, and don't see a funny cult classic. I see a reflection of an odd but very talented man who had a very clear vision and wanted to share it with the world. I think one thing I love about Tommy Wiseau is, he dosen't care what other people think, and I really respect him for that. So I'll end this review with a quote by Tommy Wiseau."You can laugh, you can cry, but please don't hurt each other" - Tommy Wiseau

When I first heard of The Room, I was watching the video, "Everything Wrong with Birdemic" by CinemaSins. While watching the video, I also saw a thumbnail that says "Everything Wrong with The Room" and I thought it doesn't seem interesting at first. When I used to watch Nostalgia Critic, I saw his review video of The Room and I still think it doesn't seem interesting. Later, when I saw the interview of Tommy Wiseau about the film, I feel bad about how he feels about the bad reviews of the movie. When I finally saw the film, I noticed that the writing needs a lot of work, however I really find this film very interesting. The only thing that I like about the film the most (especially that interest me to watch this film) is how Tommy Wiseau was trying to tell a simplistic and interesting story. I went to Stan Lee's LA ComicCon in 2017 and I'd get to meet Tommy Wiseau, I thought he was a cool guy. How I met him there was that I was at his aisle and I never thought a filmmaker would sell copies of his script and I was trying to decide (even that it's tough) and I also was telling him that I'm not sure if whether or not if I want to buy a copy of the script and I also thought it was nice for him to have me read the script as I'm deciding. So, I bought the script anyway. I enjoyed The Room because of the story and I liked it better than Birdemic.
