When you sum up your life, what will be important. For many of us, we may discover that what we thought was important, isn't really, and what we took for granted, or overlooked, may be the real deal.I thought this movie gave me that experience. It was fun watching the life of a man from childhood to senior citizen. He was growing up in post war Italy and he was affected by the politics and mores of his environment. He had highs and lows like all of us. But his realization at the end of the movie is something I will never forget because it was done with such power and contrast. I had as much of a catharsis as he did. And Alessandra Mastronardi was the perfect actress to bring out the powerful truth to all of us watching the movie.
