I'm not sure why this film has been rated so low, but I'm going to guess it's because most people go into every movie they watch expecting it to be Citizen Kane, and then rate the movie with a 1 because it wasn't a Hollywood blockbuster with 10 million dollar explosions.I'm assuming if you're checking this movie out, you are either a Troma fan or a Zombie fan. While they might not be Zombies as you would normally imagine them, this film does feature plenty of undead characters. If you love gore, then you will enjoy this film, as the blood and guts are pretty evenly distributed throughout the film and pretty well done for a low budget film. There were a few instances that were so great that I rewound them and watched them again. If you enjoy the atmosphere that 90's cheesiness is able to offer, then again, this is the film for you.I am rating this film 10 because I believe other people have severely underestimated the film, and I feel its poor rating might deter viewers. But then again, this is a Troma release, so maybe not.8/10

That was my favorite line in the whole movie. All I have to say is I felt cheated. The description led me to believe I would watch a mixture of 'House Party' and 'Evil Dead'. It promised me "hip-hop yup's" and "groupies". The cover had kids in hammer pants and a guy that looked like Boy George.Did I get any of that? No. I got a movie that introduced a character by having everyone screaming his/her name in an empty mansion. Two nobodies show up just to raise the body count and to have a questionably aged girl flash the screen. Also for some reason they only ran around the same rooms. The villain was an old crone that could only be stopped by stabbing her hunchback. Lot's of people die in ridiculous ways and there's blood. And of course a loose plot.I felt cheated because there was no rapping, no hip-hop or even a little slam poetry. I mean the guys on the cover didn't resemble anyone in the movie. That's why I watched it! I hoped some kid would have a rap battle with a zombie in overalls.Have I seen worst films? Sure. But if you're going to advertise the movie as urban kids meet undead, country cracker grandma please come thru for me.

How can this movie go wrong? This is simply slasher fun. The plot is somewhat original for a horror movie...Eight friends spend the weekend fixing an old house, little they know that it's owner is still living there. That may sound normal, just ignoring the fact that the owner is already DEAD (murdered 50 years before). One of this teens has the great idea of smashing a grave in the backyard,as a reaction the owner instantly awakens from the dead!! The fun begins. One by one this teens get brutally killed by the owner (a creepy 100 year old woman!), then they return to life as zombies. In order to get out of the house, the survivors have to kill the old woman and the rest of the non living habitants. The creepy house, the effective score, plenty of gore, and some scary situations make this a fun slasher. Check out the scene where this guy tries to escape opening a window in the second floor, when he's about to jump the window closes chopping him in two. Apparently watching, the old lady throws him a stick pole from the second floor impaling this guy's torso to the ground.I recommend this movie if you are a fan of the genre, you will not be disappointed. Ignore the fact that it's produced by Troma, they were not involved at all.

This is one of the scariest movies I ever saw! I saw it when I was around 10 and am still scared of it today. It concerns a group of college kids fixing up an old mansion. They have no idea that the former owner is still in the house. Breaking her tombstone in the backyard causes her to awaken and she begins to kill them in grizzly ways. But, they don't stay dead. They soon turn into murdering zombies. Worst of all, there is no way at all out of the house. Be warned, there is a decent amount of gore. I know I closed my eyes when I first saw it at a few scenes and I NEVER do that with horror movies. Also, don't pay any attention to the Troma label on the tape. They had NOTHING to do with the actual production of the movie, it's just under their label. So this is nothing at all like the movies they usually make. If you're in the mood for a good scare, rent this movie immediately!
