If I took the 5 funniest scenes and 10 funniest jokes and combined it with a half dozen very good performances I'd have to give this movie 8 out of 10.But... when I add in the other 90% (1 Star), I end up with 2 (bad).

What an embarrassment! Oh, the actors are all really great but their acting really (literally) sucks here. It's not their fault. The director and writers should be flushed down toilets; the toilets they obviously sprang from. Now, to cleanse myself after watching this puke, I must seek out every one of the actor's best movies and watch them all again. Also, I am now dying to check out actual comedy performances by Jessica Kirson whose 15 seconds of screen time was actually very funny. Too bad the truly usually great Robert De Niro didn't learn a thing from her in his preparation for his "comedy" role in this movie. FYI, the ONLY good acting in the film was from Danny DeVito who actually conveyed true emotions throughout. He should receive a special Oscar for rising above this horrid material.

Slightly funny and shocking film about a comedian that makes no apologies for his blue humor and sharp biting wit. With Deniro being the comedian, I at least thought the majority of the humor would be entertaining. I was wrong.Several of the bright spots were the supporting cast. Danny Devito stars along side his real daughter! Patti LuPone brings the sass in every, way, shape, and form!

I like De Niro and DeVito. I was so disappointed! Argh! Not one laugh and it was painful to watch!!! A well placed F bomb is cool but when comedy consists of more bombs in a sentence than regular words it comes across like it was written by an uneducated buffoon. Yep...It was! Honestly, did De Niro really have to jump at a D grade script? The big funnies are toilet words. Really!!! Ummmmm....Toilet words are funny to 8 or 9 year old kiddies. If adults find this hilarious I am truly disappointed in humanity. No laughs here. On a final note I was shocked hearing a mere child deliver a stand-up comedy routine complete with F bombs worse than I would expect out of the mouth of a 60 year old trucker. This movie was F bomb bad!!!
