A Masterpiece An edge of the seat thriller that keeps you hooked up on the suspense and reveals one of the finest plot twists ever in the final 15 mins of the movie. The eerie setting and the horror element add to the suspense and keep you guessing till the very end This is a must watch. Don't miss it

When the dead body of his wife mysteriously disappears from the morgue, a successful individual is accused of her death. Along the investigation, we're about to find out a much deeper story, one which involves multiple unexpected characters and events which date from 10 years back. It's a film full of thrill and mystery, which keeps you interested and eager to find out more about the main suspect. Although starting very slow and almost boring, it slowly gains pace but not too much, just enough to maintain a suspenseful and dark atmosphere. Above all, the finale is the one which makes this movie shine, with its twists and unexpected events which simply amaze you. The complex characters and good actors also contribute decisively to this unexpectedly good movie.Yes, it tends to exaggerate in some aspects, to present some implausible events, or to have a very slow paced rhythm, but it is a very good movie overall. Another very good mystery which hasn't received enough praise or at least views for its performance.

I found this movie in the recommendation part of the page while I was writing a review about "Tell No One", another great movie that had been created based on the novel by "Harlan Coben". the IMDb points had given me high expectation because it was higher than 7 and I'm glad to watch it. It was great movie with shocking end just like what I like to see in the movies or read in the books. full mysterious movies make me stick to the seat and follow every move the characters made till to the end and this movie got great point from me because it is not like most of the movies nowadays we can see in the theaters, which are combination of violence, guns, unbelievable scenes, superhuman heroes, bla, bla, bla. this movie was believable enough to stand alone and get attention. also I have just a small criticism. why didn't the man in custody want and request for a lawyer at all while he needed it so badly? it is one of the mistakes that the director has made, from my viewpoint.

As thrillers about night-long police interrogations go, "El Cuerpo" is better than Giuseppe Tornatore's "A Pure Formality", and about as good as "The Usual Suspects"! It's consistently absorbing, relentlessly intense, and a marvel of misdirection. There are some marvellous scenes that Hitchcock would approve of - the one in the toilet immediately comes to mind. José Coronado, as the persistent detective, Hugo Silva & Aura Garrido as the partners-in-crime who can feel the noose tightening around their necks, and Belén Rueda as the rich, possessive heiress whose dead body's disappearance sets the well-designed plot in motion, give depth to their characters, making this more than a "genre" piece. But make no mistake, "El Cuerpo" is mainly a gift for thriller / mystery lovers. *** out of 4.
