Out to stop a new gang disguised as Santa Claus, Emilien and Daniel must also handle major changes in their personal relationships. Taxi and Taxi 2 were definitely really fun movies but Taxi 3 is easily the best of the three so far plus that Sylvester Stallone cameo? was just freaking priceless to say the least and i really loved the new look and set pieces that the movie took upon. It's way more insane than the first 2 films combined but also even better as a whole too. Plus once again very funny and just entertaining with nods even to James Bond. (A+)
... View MoreThe silliness continues with Besson and Krawczyk and the usual gang with the addition of a couple of new faces. In an opening number that is a parody of James Bond titles, Sylvester Stallone is featured. They go a credible job of presenting the Bond music and girls in this tribute.Another addition to the cast is the incredible beautiful Bai Ling (Anna and the King, The Lost Empire), who is ostensible writing a story on the police department and has tongues hanging all over the department. This time they are looking for the Santa Claus gang, who taunt the police by telling them when they will strike. While this is going on Émilien fails to realize that his wife Petra is pregnant and Daniel is so busy with his cars, that he doesn't have time to spend with Lilly again, who is also pregnant. That is just too hard to believe! Despite references to Bond, and a story taken somewhat from Lethal Weapon 4, it is another funny romp, this time through the streets of Paris, and over the mountains to Switzerland.I can't wait to see what they come up with in Taxi 4.
... View MoreLuc Besson is a Big personality in the French Cinema business. Actually, He would love to be compared as the french "Spielberg". The guy who manages great success at the box office and quality. However, with Besson, this is not the case. Despite some massive french box office hits ("Le grand Bleu", "le 5eme element"), Besson, as a director, never managed to impress us. His movies are extremely commercials but, for most of them, very childish and immature. And this is typical for Taxi 3. Taxi, the first one, was quite funny and the stunts were terrific. This was a hit at the box office because it was "different" from the other kind of french cinema. But, OMG, this one is so bad! This is definitely the WORST ACTING performance ever in a french movie ! Look at Gibert, the "commissaire" - the "captain". Poor guy, he IS the worst actor i ever seen in a long time ! Sounds like the director had focused on the stunts and totally forgot to, actually, "direct" the actors ! While some scenes has some funny aspects, it is so silly that it is stupid. Believe it or not but the scenario and the dialog reminds me of the "great" Max Pecas, RIP, the worst french director ever as Tim Burton compares him with Ed Wood ! Yes This Max Pecas style ! But with more money. Besson may have made some few bucks with this one, but doing such a crap film, i don't think he will be ever remembered as the french "Spielberg" !
... View MoreTaxi 3 is a movie for 12-year old kids who like cars. They will enjoy this movie from beginning to end. But I only enjoyed two jokes: the smoking scene in the car and the drugstore owner's daughter. But the rest...average.
