As an eleven-year-old back in '08, I didn't have many opportunities to see any Star Wars movies in theaters. I was a huge fan of A New Hope, and I enjoyed the prequels, but they were all home video experiences (with the exception of Attack of the Clones, but I was too young to remember it or get excited over it.So when I first saw trailers for Star Wars: The Clone Wars, which was going to premiere as a feature film in theaters, I became excited. I enjoyed the movie at the time, but as I grew older, I began realizing that it was a three episode arc squashed together to form a movie, and it was more lackluster than I had remembered.I fell in love with the character of Ahsoka Tano (maybe literally, with my eleven-year-old mind still in the early stages of maturing) since she was finally a character around my age, a character I could relate to.The subsequent show started off okay, but as seasons 2, 3, and 4 came and went, I missed out on a lot of it as I focused on being an adolescent for a while. But still...The Clone Wars reinvigorated my dormant love for Star Wars. When the promos for season 5 debuted, I became intrigued again, especially with the return of Darth Maul. So I binge-watched it. Since I was older, I began appreciating the show more, with its nods to other movies like Apocalypse Now and Seven Samurai. I began to appreciate the deep themes of betrayal, war, political upheaval, corruption, and war profiteering. Then came the ending of season 5. Ahsoka rejected her reinstatement into the Jedi Order and walked off into the sunset, possibly never to be seen again. Shortly after that, the Disney acquisition resulted in its ultimate cancellation, but the company was gracious enough to put the series and "The Lost Missions" on Netflix. I appreciate it more than ever today. Now it's coming back. Whether or not it's limited to just a few episodes, I don't know. But I hope that it'll come back for at least another two seasons to finish off everything that Dave Filoni and his magnificent cast and crew had lined up. It's a fantastic show that may seem to be made for children on the surface...but on the inside, it's so much more.

The Clone Wars...... Yes it is an animated series and looks like it's for kids but mate it is definitely not!! TCW writers did an amazing job on the plot and character development. Its no way kiddish like 'Rebels' which is why TCW can be enjoyed by adults and teens. I reckon its one of the best animated TV series to be ever made. Yes i know that's a big statement but seriously TCW is the reason why I'm a star wars fanboy. For goodness sake it saved George Lucas from all the hate he was getting for the prequels. Each episode is amazing and honestly just so interesting. You get attached to many characters and they show a better understanding of why Anakin joined the dark-side. In addition the series also show the relationship between Obi-Wan & Anakin really well. The animation for all characters is extraordinary. Its definitely not kiddish looking at all. Moreover, TCW shows more planets which makes you fall in love with the star wars universe. After watching this i wished i was living on Coruscant or one of the planets with the JediTCW show many battles scenes, different planets, and more interaction between Jedi and Clones. And deaths are not so childish they do show wounds etcIf you hated prequels then i honestly recommend watching this series. It makes you fall in love with the Clone wars era. Overall i would give the series a 9.2/10!! i was pretty upset when they stopped making it

I grew up in the prequel era. An era that is hated by the most vocal of star wars fans yet I loved it. I watched all the films when I was younger. I would fight alongside the movies against imaginary foes. Then I grew past that and star wars was beginning to fade for me. Then suddenly a new show was on cartoon network. Nothing like the original mini series that I had seen in the past. This new show was like a movie in every episode. Once untold stories and plots suddenly existed for me and I was pulled into the politics and battles of the clone wars once again. As I grew more mature so did the show. It's plots becoming more complicated and its stories growing darker as it neared its final seasons. I cried when Ahsoka left unaware that the show would be canceled after that season. For weeks after that I hated Disney but then came the lost episodes and I was overjoyed. It is years later and I still go back to rewatch episodes. I still pray for more. Each time Star Wars celebration rolls around I pray that we will get another clip from an unfinished episode. Clips that bridge the gap between the films and the shows. Now I know that many still do hate the clone wars but please keep an open mind. Realise that the show is told for children and not adults. Understand that there is a broader star wars story because of this show. I certainly do.

I mean its like the author took time to pick out all the details left out in the main movie that fit in place with this animation series.he finds a way to let us see and understand what happened and led to some certain unforeseen events like the slowly turning of Anikin Skywalker to lord Vader which was clearly not covered in the movie. wow, Lucas film does it as he always has, cant find a way to appreciate that guy for all the imagination he has fed the world. i guess what viewers are anticipating mostly at this point is his next movie, the force awakens. I wonder if the Jedi will return or will this be an entirely new plot for the viewers. it would be nice to come with a fitting conclusion though I fear this isn't happening anytime sooner since its clear that this will be a trilogy set
