Dialogue aimed at 10 year olds. Ex machina spoon feeding you at every crucial plot twist. 1997 computer graphics. Completely wooden acting from nearly every character, moved a!omg by unbelievable motivations. I should have shut it off 20 minutes in! Did Cusack really need a paycheck this badly?

I realize that Cusack is middle aged and the cutesy underdog boy-next-door parts are in the rearview, but, damn! So many flaws. It was like a cheap SciFy movie of the week from 20 yrs ago..... The movie is over after the "I don't eat scene"...... I only made it about half way in, dunno, maybe you can do better. If I've said it once, I've said it, like, 67 or 68 times,"F, CGI, it's ruining movies!" Are writers that exspensive these days? Oh, and Nexflix, sling some more of this, maybe some will stick.

This movie seemed interesting enough at first and with the summary, but after seeing the first scene with a knock off Katniss Everdeen with bow and arrow in hand and side braid to the T, I was out. I kept watching the movie out of sheer curiosity of how everything would play out. They were monitored (Hunger Games), they were lied to by the head honchos (Hunger Games), they both agreed to do everything together (Hunger Games). Honestly this movie was a waste of my time and I had a very hard time staying awake during it. The cinematic vision of the movie gave me mixed feelings some scenes were beautiful but others looked like stock video. To each their own, but this movie was not one i would recommend.

So many plot holes and very bad um cgi. 97 yrs pass, amazing how clean the actors look. makeup/nice clothes, shoes. love John Cusack, but buddy, um why did u do this film. need money? don't waste your time on this movie.
