I'm not big into writing reviews, but in all honesty, this has been one of the Best gay themed films I have ever watched, no sex, just a dude coming to terms with his feelings, and his commitments to family and learning how to deal with it all. The casting was excellent, and the whole theme was dealt with very sensitively, an Awesome script, and the setting was really beautiful. I really Loved it, hope you do too!! 10 out of 10.

The dreadful thumbnail picture on the cover of this movie does it no favours. It's like the covers on trashy gay novels. It would be better served with something deeper and more thoughtful as this is a gem of a gay movie. True, it hasn't got much competition in that genre as most gay movies are dreadful, but even put against straight movies this would hold its own. Trevor Wright is the stand out star of this film. He's authentic, can act his socks off, and really nails the lead part. The film is about more than gay identity, which is probably why it's so watchable. I've seen this film a number of times and will probably return to it many times more. It's well acted and has a great storyline. Given some of the gay horrors I've watched, that makes this a ten without hesitation.

This movie is a wonderful reminder that we are all special human beings, and all that we're looking for is simply love, compassion, acceptance and understanding. I found myself drawn from the very first 30 seconds into the movie, and my world simply stopped as I watched the remainder of the movie right to its very end. This seldom happens to me, and I was completely mesmerized throughout the entire film, and felt as if I was taken on a wonderful journey of life! The directing, acting, music, art, and setting all intertwined and blended so well...I felt coddled and delicately wrapped by the storyline and the characters. It also made me realize how fortunate I was to have my husband of 25 years...whom I met when I was young boy of 25 and he was 32 (so the age factor between Shaun and Zack was reminiscent of the age difference between my husband and I). He was the 'master' and I was his 'student'. I having been blessed with a solid 'family' upbringing, I could relate to a lot to Zack and his need to protect the family. His journey really hits close to home, and I just wanted to hug him and tell him that all will be well! I love how the colours of red suddenly start to project into the, predominantly metallic, artwork...this to represent Zack's coming out and making himself more vulnerable and, ultimately, opening up his heart to Shaun. Beautiful! Finally, the inspiring and beautiful music, sung mostly by Shane Mack, wove in and out to seamlessly. Awesome!

I only recently found out about this movie and I'm so glad I did! The movie is so amazing and inspiring to watch. It is a great film and I would urge people to watch it if they have no already. However, if you like huge box office smashers with plenty of action, this movie is not for you. It's so true to real life and has the ability to inspire others. The storyline is very simple yet so interesting and moving. It's a simple movie with a beautiful meaning behind it and I'm so happy I got to see it. It is now definitely one of my best movies and I wish more people would make movies like this, instead of all the non meaningful rubbish thats out there today. I really do recommend people to watch it, especially if you are thinking about it, it is worth it and you will hopefully enjoy it as much as I did!
