An ex-special services veteran, down on his luck and desperate for work, takes a job as a security guard at a run-down mall in a rough area of town. On his first night on the job, he opens the door to a distraught and desperate young girl who has fled the hijacking of a Police motorcade that was transporting her to testify as a witness in a trial. Hot on her heels is the psychopathic hijacker and his team of henchmen, who will stop at nothing to extract and eliminate the witness.

Is this what the movie industry has become? I just couldn't handle the amount of cliche moments in the movie with somewhat bad acting. i just started to watch this with an open mind but after halfway I just begun to skip 5 second forwards every 30 seconds or something. Acting is bad, Screenplay is somewhat horrible and very predictable scenes and dialogues. Im not even happy about the ending. it was soo predictable and most of the dialogues were cringy. I had high hopes for this title and if its job was to disappoint me in many horrible ways, I could say that this was a successful attempts. I dont now how people give bad ratings to absolutely killer movies like 12 Strong, Lone survivor, Fury ( Im aware of that all those titles are "WAR" movie titles) but giving 7 or 8 something to this one. Plz dont waste your time. BUT If you are new to action movies or " A Team" like movies, You MIGHT enjoy this. plz emphasize on the word MIGHT.

GUENOT PHILIPPE

I liked this fun movie, in the line of Florent Emilio Siri's NID DE GUÊPES, aka WASP NEST I guess. It self inspired from ASSAULT ON PRECINCT 13. The main difference is that in NID DE GUÊPES the bad guys were ONLY silhouettes, we never saw their faces. Here, no that remains classic. But it's very tense, inventive, although not always believable, but who cares for this kind of film? We have to accept it, that's the name of the game. I usually love movies where you have no good nor bad guys, except in this kind of FUN scheme like this one, which has nothing to do with authentic noir atmosphere. One more thing, Ben Kingsley at last has choose a far better movie to play in instead of the crap he was in just before: NO WAY OUT.

This film begins with a convoy of U.S. Marshals transporting a young girl by the name of "Jamie" (Katherine de la Rocha) who is the sole witness to a crime committed by a dangerous mob boss. Suddenly the convoy is ambushed on a secluded road and everybody is killed except the young girl who manages to escape and run away into the night. The scene then shifts to an Army captain named "Eddie Deacon" (Antonio Banderas) who has just gotten out of the service and is haunted by this past experiences in battle. Desperate for a job he accepts employment as a security guard at a local mall on the night shift. As luck would have it he sees a young girl banging on one of the doors to the mall and screaming to be let in. Naturally, he opens the door to see what is going on and this is when he and his fellow security guards discover that they have a problem for which they are not equipped to handle. Now rather than reveal any more I will just say that this was an okay action movie which pretty much covered all of the bases but didn't provide anything out of the ordinary to enhance the film in any way. That said I have rated it accordingly. Average.
