"The raid that supposedly led to Bin Laden's death has been shrouded in mystery for years. Speculation that the Obama administration may have embellished or outright lied about the true account of what happened has persisted, mainly because the White House has refused to publicly release images of Bin Laden's body. Although the White House said the corpse was immediately "buried at sea" in line with Islamic tradition, it quickly emerged that this was not standard practice. Numerous analysts have claimed that Bin Laden had in fact been dead for years and that the raid on his alleged compound in Pakistan was little more than a stunt. Other questions also persist, such as why the narrative and timeline of the raid has changed multiple times, why the White House initially claimed that "situation room" photos showed Obama watching the raid live when in fact there was a blackout on the live feed, and why neighbors in the immediate area surrounding the compound said with absolute certainty that they had never seen Bin Laden and that they knew of no evidence whatsoever to suggest he lived there."

In "SEAL TEAM SIX", who got Osama Bin Ladan in 2011, I can't help thinking that Hollywood saw an opportunity to uplift their favorite hero: Barack Hussein Obama. Yes, the portrayals about the actual warriors were pretty accurate. They're behind enemy lines. A seemingly harmless Islamic woman could be a suicide bomber. In their barrack lives, I think the writers took too much license of personal drama between these American warriors. What's with this school yard fight at a firing range? A wrestling match during off hours? I was in Afghanistan myself (Army Reserve). We were too caught up with the SITREPS for high school antics. Also, the movie could have added scenes of Osama bin Laden in his private life. He's with his children. His aides. That would have been interesting. Hitler had a private life. I do like that Hollywood showed the Americans going overboard on minimizing civilian casualties. It's a real dilemma for us military. In the live-fire and chaotic practice room, the trainer said "OK! Who shot the woman target!" Incidentally, most military people believe our Media has made us into second-guesser. Most US military vote Republican; that's Blacks, Hispanics and women, too. Hollywood only talks with highly- paid consultants, seemingly. But back to President Obama. He took too much air out of "SEAL Team Six." The beginning of the film had definitely unnecessary news clip of two presidential candidates calling Mr. Obama weak on defense. Wow, I guess he showed them! The middle of the film had Mr. Obama deciding and thinking. He always makes great decisions, to Hollywood. The movie ended with a close-up of Mr. Obama giving a big praise to the Team. I almost thought he was a SEAL himself. The movie-watchers could almost forget that in reality, Islamic terror and race riots have skyrocketed under the eight years of a Chicago politician who went the the Farrakhan church. News for Hollywood! Any other president would have made the same decision to get Osama bin Laden. I believe, the screen writers would have left out George W. Bush or Donald Trump, if this historic moment happened on their watches.

The DVD I watched broke down about halfway through the movie, but I saw enough. I was expecting the story about the raid on Abbottabad by the title Navy SEAL team, perhaps dramatized, but at least realistic. Instead, I got a thinly-disguised Obama campaign propaganda piece, with attacks on certain Republicans thrown in to ensure the point. It tries to throw in interviews with the participants (actual ones, or actors?), dramatizations of what happened before and during the raid, what happened at the CIA with the different people, some infighting among the team members...and ends up with a confusing mishmash. We jump from one thing to another to another to another, but one point is made clear...the real hero is President Obama and his wonderful leadership.I happened to read the account of the raid in "The New Yorker" magazine. Despite the magazine's pro-Obama bias, even that article hardly played up Obama's role in it like this movie did.

DEVGRU does. With that in mind, that's about how accurate this movie is. They cannot even use proper nomenclature when describing the teams they are referencing. Any time I see "Seal" in reference to the NSW teams, I chuckle a bit. I heard one guy say "we should use our special ops carefully" or something along those lines. SEALs are SF, not spec ops. They were taxied there by spec ops (160th SOAR aka Nightstalkers). It's a movie with stereotypical buff cute guys and a token black dude who couldn't make a SEAL team in his wildest dreams with his flabby body and fat head. There's nothing SEAL worthy about this film. It doesn't even come close to an "Act of Valor" type tactical shooter film so technical guys won't get off on it too much, perhaps just cringe a bit as these clowns sweep each other constantly while on patrol. There's nothing about the load out or the actual prep shown in any detail other than some sporadic entry training. GGI choppers are obvious. It seems to have all been filmed in a barn. What movie cannot get a real chopper? Also, no "get to the choppa" moment after the take down, just lolly gagging around after it's done, like no one's coming for them, as if all those hajis out there couldn't put a bead on anyone during that little show in the courtyard. Pretty sure they were out as fast as they were in. Not worth watching really. Read the account of someone who was there, or read Chris Kyle's book. Don't go for some flimsy attempt at recreating a mission as secretive as Neptune's Spear (reference to the SEALs btw). What's odd in an ironic sense is that those who were being protected by their risks are making the money from their risks while they remain anonymous and likely scratching out a living doing whatever.
