This Paul Walker movie is filled with bomblastic action, energy and an above average plot. It's characters and cast are good and the two small kids do good acting. The story arcs and Vera Farmiga's characters' journeys are good. It's good to see Paul Walker play against type.I love everything about this movie. the directing, the style, the music, the tone, the creepiness, the suspense, the story. Paul walker did an awesome job in the lead role. so many interesting supporting characters with their own unique back-story. so many different things happening at the same time. The ending was good and Paul Walkers acting was really good!! That's for the five stars!! The rest of this Movie is plain weird and I wouldn't give it a rating! ---From Yidioo
... View MoreJoey Gazelle (Paul Walker) is a low level enforcer. Corrupt cops in ski masks try to rob them. They end up killing the cops in a shootout. Joey's son Nicky and next door neighbor kid Oleg Yugorsky (Cameron Bright) see him hiding a gun in the basement. Oleg steals that gun to shoot his abusive father. That gun turns out to be one used in the cop shootout. Joey must cover up the evidences and find Oleg with his gun. This is desperately gritty. It is a showy form of ugliness. It wears thin after awhile. It gets tiresome. Also I'm not invested in Joey getting back his gun. It would be more interesting to follow Oleg instead. He has the more compelling story. Paul Walker should be a supporting actor. It's more fascinating to see him play a villain chasing down little Oleg.

They are almost something more nightmarish. They are darker, grittier, and often set in a more heightened reality. Yet it never feels too over the top to not be believable, which the scenarios in this film (although plentiful, this makes Gotham City look like Paradise) sadly are. Whether it's a crack-addicted hobo, a sadistic Mafia family, crooked cops, pedophile serial killers, children in peril, a man on the run, a wife turned vigilante, these are all sadly everyday realities. This is a scary movie, not as in horror, but in terms of just being so damn creepy. But it's also a hell-fired, ultra-violent entertainment extravaganza that pulls you in and almost makes you laugh to keep from crying at how sadistic it gets. Wayne Kramer, a native South African, seems to take the South African lifestyle with him. You would almost think the setting should be Joburg instead of Jersey. Either way, if you can handle gore, you're in for a big, dark, surprisingly artful and even heartfelt adventure through hell. Enjoy at your own peril.

View MoreI'm amazed on how people find this movie good or even casual good...I mean yeah you got interesting actors and that's it,besides that the characters and presented in a way that it seems that an 8 year old wrote this movie, all the characters are empty and surreal stereotypes or feel taken out of a soap opera(no I take that back..soap operas are bad,but this movie it's an offense to even soap operas)besides that the story it's so bad that they had to take a plot(a bad one BTW) and just say..OK let's complicate this as much as we can and roll with it.I'm baffled at how this movie has such a high score...I'm gonna pretend that it's a pay for review campaign just to be able to maintain a slight hope for humanity.
