This is a weird movie, it isn't a horror but it do says what the title says, it is a revenge by a reporter being so-called killed but he survives the toxic waist and returns as a deformed human, does it rings a bell, Toxic Avenger anyone? The two main leads, David Scammell and Kathryn Boese are unknown actors and disappeared in obscurity after this flick as almost all actors in this feature. I said it before, it isn't a horror even as the sleeve shows gore. It is more a comedy with a lot of one-liners and funny situations. But the movie became hunted down due the director Craig Pryce better known for so many series he directed, this was his first full feature. It do contains a lot of really good effects and some are indeed nasty and gory. A reason why some horror aficionado's do hunt for this rather easy to find on PAL and NTSC vid.

After being thrown in a pool of toxic waste the reporter named Mike Wave mutates into radioactive creature hellbent on getting revenge."Revenge of the Radioactive Reporter" by Craig Pryce is an extremely cheesy horror spoof which won Best Independent Theatrical Feature at the 1990 Houston Film Festival. The film was released in almost exactly the same year as Sam Raimi's more serious "Darkman".There is plenty of cheese in "Revenge of the Radioactive Reporter" plus some crude sexual jokes. The plot is extremely silly and the image of Mike urinating radioactive waste into the woman's bathtub is simply unforgettable. If you are into Troma's movies give this trashy junk a look.6 reporters out of 10.The film was shot in Toronto.

Don't read the negative reviews given by other people. I have seen this film many times. The plot is well suited to the title of the film, as it is all about revenge. There is similarity here with films like Dead Heat and Vindicator. The Plot is this: a reporter sets out to uncover the unsafe conditions at the nearby nuclear power plant. He talks to the director of the power plant and tells him of his findings. The director tells him that there is no problem and leads him personally on an inspection tour of the plant.Deliberately while the reporter is off-guard, the director pushes him into a pool of radioactive toxic waste. The director is very happy at his smart disposal of the annoying reporter. However the reporter is still very much alive, and thirsting for revenge against the director. What happens next has to be seen to be believed..... Excellent make-up effects and good gore and action to quench horror fans. Ghoulish humor galore in this film as it is a horror-comedy genre film but it turns into a serious affair towards the end and our sympathies turn towards the poor reporter.I highly recommend this film for those of you who have not watched it.

What a rare find this is! A newspaper reporter goes to a nuclear power plant only to get dumped into a pool of contaminated radioactive waste by sleazy executive ^~$holes. He becomes an ugly flesh-faced innocent...reporter...who looks like Freddy Krueger and trying to convince his girlfriend Richelle that's he's him! He has a unique way to kill...with his face! (???) That's right, another independent film by a nut who copied off certain movies to make a lame-brained spoof of horror movies we have all grown to love. And there's much more to describe the horrifically bad taste. One can't fully understand the awful acting and dumb dialogue as well as the plain colored sets along with the shades and hues of blue. As trying to be hilarious, it's willing to be boring. The character Richelle does a decent job at acting in despair and grief up to the bitter end, and the print looks nice, but what's the meaning of R. OF THE R. R.? Virtually none! It's meaningless in all entirety! Rare movies like this are worth a look, including a bizarre skateboard-psycho network movie I saw called SHREDDER ORPHEUS, but if you're planning on forking tons of dough over that hard-to-find movie, seek financial help. Don't complain about getting cheated over it if you had already spent your hard-earned $80 worth!
