The. Worst.This movie is terrible. Do not watch it. Ever.So bad.

Oh my. Just finished watching Prey. WOW what a movie. Judging on how harsh the reviews were, I wasn't expecting a lot, but give us something more! The idea was perfect. People stranded with blood-craving lions. Who wouldn't want to see that. This film could have been SO much better if I made some minor adjustments....:1. Those freakin kids. 1. The boy- WORST ACTOR EVEEEEER! I've never seen someone look and talk like a robot at the same time. And he complained ALL the time. I understand your in the desert, but really? "Amy I'm tired, Amy I'm thirsty, Amy I have to go to the bathroom, Amy I'm hungry, Amy there are lions" God he sucked.2. The girl- I've seen her act before and she's not bad, but the writer just kept feeding her such cheesy dialog. And when a lion would attack....you will want to stab your ears with knifes. I'll give you a basic overview of most scenes: 1. Lion attacks. 2. Girl opens mouth. 3. Girl opens eyes. 4. Girl repetitive says "OMG" "OMG". (and this happens during EVERY scene with a lion.2. The dad- He was only in one scene with the lions but I still hated him. So he's walking over to his wife and kids, right, and then a lion comes, and its a good 15-20 feet to the left of him. The wife screams- "There's a lion , look out". The husband makes no effort to look or even turn around to see if shes actually telling the truth. I guess he though she was lying or something? So he screams- "What?". Wife- ""There is a lion!" Husband- "Wat"?. Wife- "Lion". Park Ranger- "Dont move". Husband moves his head like an inch...o there's the lion, silly me. The wife was perfect for the role. She shut those freakin kids up exactly when I wanted her to, and she wasn't to bad to look at either. Overall, bad movie, but could have been better with improved writing.

"Prey", with its story of people trapped in a vehicle while man-eating lions roam outside, possibly takes its inspiration from two movies. The most obvious is "Cujo", but the movie may have also been inspired by the forgotten killer lion movie "Savage Harvest". While this movie may have been a passable imitation, the end results are kind of disappointing. It's hard to generate much sympathy for the three trapped individuals, with the teenage girl very annoying and the woman acting crazy during the scene where they could have gotten away. Also, with the family being trapped in the car for most of the movie, things often get quite boring. Movie isn't terrible - there are a few good things in it, like nice scenery, great cinematography, and other good production values (except for the fake-looking CGI blood.) But as I indicated in the summary line, you'll feel unsatisfied at the end.

While working in a dam in Africa, the American hydraulic engineer Tom Newman brings his family to spend a couple of days in the Leopard's Rest Lodge. His fourteen year-old daughter Jessica is having friction with her stepmother Amy since she does not accept the divorce of her parents. On the next morning, Amy, Jessica and her brother David go in a game drive with a ranger while Tom goes to the dam. While driving off-road, David asks the ranger to stop the jeep to go to the "toilet", and unexpectedly they are attacked by a group of starving lions that kill and eat the ranger. Amy, Jessica and David are trapped in the jeep and stalked by the wild lions. When Tom returns to the hotel and finds that his family has not returned from the game, he asks for help to the experienced hunter and guide Crawford and together they seek Tom's family. In-Crappy-Credible Thats All I Have To Say. I Was Indredibly Surprised To See This Was Not Darrell Roodt's First Movie. In All The Horror Movies I've Seen I Have Never Seen Something This Ridiculos. Lions Attacking Humans For The Fun Of It. At The End The Car They're In Explodes...Now The Children Were Safe With Their Father But The Mother Was Up & Close To The Car...Now The Last Time I Checked...Car Explosions Killed People...Am I Correct?...Thought I Was...The Stepmother Comes Out Of The Wreckage WITHOUT A SCRATCH OR BRUISE! This Deserves Its Rating Of 4.5 But This Deserves A Little Bottom 100 Treatment. How Can Anybody Call This A Scary Lion Movie? 'The Lion King' Was Scarier Than This. The Little Boy Needs Food Or Water Every 5 Minutes...From What I Remember As A Kid I Never Got That Dehydrated That Quickly. In The Middle Of The Film They Have The Chance To Leave...The Stepmother Does Not Go Up The Mountain Where They Came But She Goes Further Down The Mountain. I Don't Mind Horror Movies Just As Long As They Are Done Good...& This Movie Failed That.
