This movie takes one completely at surprise. It is an unusual film about love, a love which conquers any obstacles. After watching this movie, superlatives are a must. This movie is elevated, colorful excellency! The story is well written and executed. The acting is unbelievably good (especially SRK's and Rani's). The music is beautiful and the lyrics very poetic. The most striking thing about this movie is the cinematography and art design: absolutely brilliant! The way the camera captures the scenes, seems almost as if the director himself was in love with the characters and the love story.Complete 10/10

I hated this movie. It was nice to look at, but was not good for much else. I don't like this story at all. I didn't know beforehand that Lachchi knew the whole time that Ghost-Kishen wasn't her husband. As soon as I realized that, I began to hate this movie. Lachchi had every reason to be depressed that her preoccupied husband left her the day after their wedding, but that does not excuse her decision. The whole thing was not fair to Kishen. He was not a bad person. He did not deserve to have his life taken away from him forever. Ghost-Kishen was mean and selfish, from him ripping up Kishen's letter to him standing silently while Kishen was accused of being a liar. And Lachchi is somewhat of a hypocrite. She's supposedly proper and wears a veil in public, all the while she's sleeping with someone who is not her husband. I'm supposed to be rooting for this couple? Please. I was disgusted with them. At the end, I almost cried for Kishen. When I was I felt like he died, and he might as well have. The end was as mean and selfish as the Ghost. I know it's just a movie, but few movies make me so angry. I was very disappointed.I agree that the scenes were slow and boring and that Juhi looked amazing. They didn't show her enough. As far as Suniel's special appearance goes, it wasn't done well and the Juhi/Suniel story made no impression whatsoever. The best things about the movie were Juhi and the soundtrack.

Depp 4eva!

I really liked this film for 3 reasons. One is that i like fantasy tales such as this, two because i will and can never miss an SRK movie and lastly, come on, you have to watch it for SRK! I've seen it twice now. This film has a unique story line as opposed to films like K3G and Kal Ho Na Ho. I really liked the special effects and tricks. The comedy was funny too. Also, i'm a sucker for love stories like this one so i really enjoyed the film. Some of the songs were really good but what really caught my attention was the costumes. They were really beautiful- the ones they wear for songs as well as for the movie. Very vibrant and pretty. The ending of the film just blew me away...i wasn't expecting it, to tell you the truth. It's a good movie and i recommend all of you to watch it.

I just saw Paheli yesterday and I loved it. I was a little worried when I read what it was about, but I think that it was handled really well, at least for Bollywood. It is half typical Bollywood and half something else. The final dance sequence is the cutest thing ever and all of the music is great! Seeing Shahrukh with the mustache was just something that I couldn't get used to, but he was adorable anyway. The ending is not typical Bollywood at all and I am not sure that I liked it. The special effects are very typical of Bollywood but they don't really affect the movie very much and they are relatively short so I didn't mind them. I guess that Bollywood is just not used to having shorter films because there were a couple spots that needed more character development. Overall I rate it very high, definitely worth the $10 to go see it.
