I wanted to watch this based solely on the title alone. I went into this film with a low expectation and even then I was left disappointed. I have only ever switched off one movie in my life, this came very close to being the second.The basis of the movie sounded quirky enough, and with an STD involved you have to expect some sex or nudity to be involved, but this is just a whole other level of BAD. I expected something along the lines of 'Teeth', 'Ash vs Evil Dead', 'Even lambs have teeth'or even 'It Follows' with a slightly camp edge. How-ever the delivery is like something out of a high-school dick and fart movie. The jokes are cheap, and the 'comedy' is crass. If you took the overcharged sexual highs of American Pie, the awkward cringe of Inbetweeners, and the OTT gross out comedy horror of early Peter Jackson. Cram it all together and remove any sense of direction, intellect or heart and you have this movie.The movie only JUST begins to pick up, right before it ends leaving you feeling disappointed and cheated.

Just watched "Night of Something Strange (2016)", and it is one of the best, without a doubt, gorehound delights I have seen.It has it all, std infected zombies, that don't even die shooting them in the head, you have to destroy their penises or vaginas to do the job.This extreme, very extreme and extremely funny, over the line gore and bloody extravaganzas will make you cream your jeans, it is that good.For gorehounds, this is absolutely a must see, you will not be sorry.my rating, very rare, is 9/10Don't miss this one, it deserves you gorehound's attention, asap.

I'd like to preface this review by saying, I love horror movies, I also love black comedies. I grew up with films like Toxic Avenger, Evil Dead II and Dead alive. With that being said, 'Night of Something Strange' is a terrible movie on all fronts. It isn't a good horror movie, it's a terrible comedy movie, there's no redeeming qualities for this film. It's poorly written, the acting and cinematography are garbage, it's all over the place with it's dialog and writing.It isn't that I don't like horror movies, it isn't that I don't appreciate gore and ultra violence, it isn't that I don't enjoy dick and fart jokes, the biggest problem is, Night of Something Strange doesn't do ANY OF THAT WELL.

*** May contain spoilers ***Okay first off, gore is not bad but using gore to cover up your film's deficiencies is bad. From the initial sex scene in the morgue to the many scenes of zombies dripping blood the director seemed to always use gore to cover up plot holes or a lack of a budget.Second, the dialog isn't up there with "satire" or "this movie makes a farce of" kind of thing. The dialog is bad. It's stilted and ridiculous most of the time. Lines that are intended to sound cool are just terrible. Oh and folks get the mics in the right positions next time cause when you hear the echos from the actors that just makes it sound unprofessional.Third, there are weirdly stupid scenes and lots of them coupled with mistakes. The initial rape scene between the janitor and the girlfriend or wife was graphic but then when the camera goes back on him overalls were up and there was clearly no zipper down there. When the male hero is saved from the janitor zombie later on blood gushes over him but when he gets up a few moments later there's none. I could go on but they only get weirder and most stupid.Let me just say that this movie stops being entertaining very early on. It is a chore to watch this to write a review. Finally, I know this is a "B" movie but being a "B" movie is no reason for producing garbage.
