I thought this movie did an excellent job explaining the many ways that mold affects some individuals. It goes on to explain why some people are more affected than others due to their genetics. What was missing was the testing involved to see if a person has biotoxin illness or CIRS. If the movie is remade they should consider including what tests are performed and why they are performed. Also, they need to explain more about treatment options to help a person return to feeling better. The end of the movie lead you to think that with treatment that all was well and people could live a normal life. It should be explained that 50% of the US buildings are water damaged and to avoid these buildings for employment, doctors appts, schools, etc. is very hard, thus re-exposure occurs and often makes the illnesses reappear. The biggest hurdle is to get to feeling better again and then you have to worry about re-exposure. The movie was positive in identifying sources of mold and other toxins that affect individuals and it was very descriptive of the types of illnesses many often experience. There just needs to a be more added...add medical testing, what they show and what the treatment options are... also, explain that for some very sick individuals this is timely healing process, it doesn't happen over night. I thought the movie had a great beginning and I would like to see more.
... View MoreThis movie is so desperately needed because of our current health crisis today! I have been sick for 12 years, have seen 45 doctors with very little help, and when I came across this movie I wept with relief, as it was the FIRST time in 12 years where I felt like I knew what was going on in my body. WAY TO GO, DAVE ASPREY! WAY TO CHANGE THE WORLD FOR THE BETTER!!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! I am sharing this information with everyone who will listen to me! There is a great mix of patients and practitioners in this documentary, and the viewer gets a wide-angle view of what mold illness can look like. I can not emphasize how valuable this movie can be to those who have struggled with their health for years and have not received a proper diagnosis (IBS, Fibromyalgia, and Chronic Fatigue do not count as proper diagnoses). I am a patient at The Cleveland Clinic for Functional Medicine, and they were the first doctors who pointed me in the direction of mold illness and CIRS. As I researched on my own, I discovered Bulletproof and the Moldy Movie and my life will be forever better!
... View MoreThis is a documentary that I only wish came out years ago. It can truly be a life saver for the many, many people unknowingly suffering from chronic illnesses that could be related to toxic mold poisoning. Excellent use of experts to explain the science behind it (genetic susceptibility and much more), and personal stories to explain just how tragic these situations can be. There needs to be more understanding about this issue, and this film provides that. Everyone should see this to help prevent, deal with, or understand the rapidly growing problem of toxic mold. At the least, all doctors should have to watch this!
