This is one of the most touching movies I've ever seen, and also one of the most creative. Not only does midnight sun bring a new idea to the table, but it also displays it in a brilliant way. The movie is packed with many fun and funny scenes, but also has its fair share of deep, emotional and sad ones. The concept that Katie can't experience what it's like to live during daytime represents a tricky challenge for her as she tries to make her dream come true and win charlie's heart(her life crush).Honestly, the best part of the movie (also the most emotional) is when Katie starts dying, and at first I couldn't believe it was happening. I kept thinking to myself "is she really gonna die? Will they find a cure in the last second? How long will she have?..." and so on and so forth. Despite the fact that I wanted her to live by any possible means, the ending was amazing it showed what the director wanted to say in a realistic, emotional and an unforgettable manner and that displayed the ability of the director to reach the heart of the audience which is a skill that I personally find impressive and important for a director to have. All in all, midnight sun is a great movie that will literally and figuratively touch your heart!!! PS Bella Thorne's performance in this movie is different from her other roles in that it is more relatable and less like she is a "freely expressing woman", and to be crystal clear I'm not judging here at all I completely respect her free will and the way she chooses to express her self I am just saying my opinion.( Bella if you ever read my review please don't take my comment as an insult I really do respect you, your choices and your way of life and it is non of my business how you choose to live it)
