So many haters on the music/soundtrack! Yes the music is not matched to the time period but it's brilliant! It fits so well! The soundtrack is one of the best things about this film! I also love Christina Ricci, she does an amazing job. Frankly I think Lizzie Borden did commit the murders but due to the times and lack of forensic evidence got away with it.

I have to say, Christina Ricci was brilliant playing as a series killer. She might have the looks of one but she just was so expressive! She could really do any role to be honest! I felt this movie was quite rather scary even on a summers day to watch this! It really brings you into the world of horror and it gives you the feeling of what it's like.I found it quite chilling although wasn't surprised at the same - when the street kids sang 'Lizzie Borden took an Axe' like some sort of nursery rhyme. I wonder during the real Lizzie Borden's time, did their parents know that their children were singing it about a murderer? I wonder myself where it came from. Probably a kid made it up!I think this is a good TV movie, I honestly love Cristina Ricci!

So I'll rate it a 5 only because I actually watched the whole movie so it couldn't have been a 3 right..OK so the acting isn't bad at all. The filming also - not bad. Soundtrack - absolutely horrible. I don't get it; made me feel the movie was in 2014 Amish Country not 1892.Read more about the history of this case and you'll see how many details; which many would have been great to build the tension of this TV movie up, but where simply overlooked.Overall its worth the watch but don't be looking for one of those intense murder movies with real historical value.

I love Christina Ricci, and I have long been fascinated by the Borden murders, so I had high hopes for this film. Unfortunately, my hopes were dashed by the dreadful dialogue, the portrayal of Lizzie as a sex kitten meandering around in her slip during a period of time when such behavior would have brought down the wrath of her family and the condemnation of the entire community, and the very poor choice to use contemporary music over a film set in the 1890s. Grinding rave music over an 1892 party - - seriously? I stopped watching and deleted the film off my DVR when, after 20 minutes, I began to feel embarrassed for Ricci and the other actors in this ridiculous POS film.
