After watching this movie i'm simply amazed with the performance of Mr. Hritik Roshan, Legendary actor Mr. Amitabh Bachan and Mrs. Preety Chinta, Mr. Booman Irani, they all done brilliant Job here, storytelling was superb that going to keep you on the edge of your seat for the whole time. Also the songs in the movie are beautiful. My most Favorite 'Abh kuch Kar ke dekhana hai'. Now the most Important lesson which i took from this movie is how important to have a lakshya in our life and to chase we need to be self-disciplined. so inspiring that every time when i want a boost, i see the whole movie again and again and it still counts as it add something new every time. A must watch movie.

Re watched Lakshya after many years, calling it Hrithik most underrated film/Performance would be stating the obvious. No one else could have done justice to the character of Karan ,showcasing different facets of his personality as his character goes on this journey of self discovery, bringing forth smallest nuances in such understated way and not resorting to flashy troupes.Javed Akhtar creates engaging screenplay balancing each phase of Karan life and many dialogues in film deserve applause(Scenes talking of War from Soldier POV).Farhan has done Fantastic job balancing entertainment aspect without compromising on authenticity of Army background of film. It is indeed one of best films made on Indian Army. The Film BGM excellent too.Production design,Cinematography Art department, costumes all deserve praise. Only minor criticism of hair design remains(Preity both hairstyle & Hrithik in flashback portions)

Lakshya revolves around Karan Shergil, who is a carefree college guy with a girlfriend. The character of Karan is somewhere like all of us, as he does not thinks too much about whats going on around him, does not have a very cordial relationship with his typical Indian father and gets constantly compared to his brother. The film is beautifully shot especially the scenes of kargil.Farhan Akhtar has done a very good job with this film, and for me this is his best work till date. Music of the film is good too but the background score is awesome. It gives you all the kicks and goosebumps in the combat and war scenes.Since the dialogues of the film are written by javed akhtar therefore the film keeps you gripped with the story line.Amitabh Bachchan is perfect, his awesome articulation of the amazing lines written by javed akhtar is unprecedented.Amitabh should have gotten a "best supporting actor"prize for this movie.Priety zinta and all other actors are fine too. Needless to mention about the fine work done by Hrithik Roshan.I know the movie is "defence aspirants' " must watch but i think everybody should watch this at least once. And yea since some part of the movie is shot in the IMA,so those scenes are priceless.

could there have been a better film???? do not think so..A coming of age film from the stables of a director who has proved yet again his talented direction after dil Chahta hai..Meet Karan the male protagonist who time & again proves his talent & hard work. Still recollect when this movie was reviewed by times of India, it carried a full half a page of his accomplishments in the movie. Truly a rock solid performance,be it his carefree attitude personified of a typical young Delhi brat living on his father's money or his classy act in army uniform or his dance moves,he has lived the character amazingly.. Especially the scenes where he converses with his father & expresses his love for him & one where he is shown venting his emotions without saying anything but just using his facial muscles and clenching his teeth,i mean this is & will remain an act that deserved a national award but our audience & organizers could neither digest the movie nor award his reel act..Commendable is the technical superiority, choreography & the music giving us one of the most inspirational songs ever in *haan yeh rasta hai tera..* Ably complemented by preity zinta & other men in uniform, director has been truly successful in extracting from the ensemble cast.. Only glitch that will remain with me is the lackluster box office collections & no recognition of the act of Hrithik roshan.
