I enjoyed this but it moved a little slow for me. I only have a problem with a couple of things. We didn't really see our couple campers doing much at the campsite. We saw the girl reading a book and doc went to round up some wood for a fire and that was about it. I was looking for those shots that showed they were really having a good time and I didn't get that vibe. The girl actually seemed bored in my opinion. I mean, who brings several books with them when they go camping. I wanted to see the contrast between their carefree, fun camping trip and the moments when it all really changed. My biggest gripe with this is the baby. What happened to the baby? Did he make it out? Did the dog eat him? Or could he and the dog find themselves adopted by a pack of wild dogs? What happened to little man?I also didn't care for the ending. They just looked at each other. That might have been ok had you been able to sense what emotions were in their reunion. Was she ticked that he left her? Was she upset because he didn't take the baby for medical treatment? Was she just happy to see him? Was she still prepared to marry him once she learned he had left her? I couldn't get a clear understanding of how they felt in that moment.Aside from these things, I enjoyed this. Check it out.

I didn't go in with high hopes and was pleasantly surprised.I think that what I enjoyed most about it was the fact that it wasn't full of Hollywood schlock. There were some intense scenes that I never would expect to see in a big-budget Hollywood film. I say kudos for straying beyond the norm in this regard.I've seen quite a few reviews that complain about the non-linear storytelling and use of flashbacks. I'm not sure what the big deal is. Lots of movies do this. It wasn't too difficult to understand what was happening. As for the ambiguous ending, I'm completely okay with it. It seems like some of those people that complain about open-ended endings and non-linear storytelling insist on having their entertainment spoon-fed to them. Personally, I like that I was made to think a bit about what might have been.I'm kind of hoping for a sequel; Killing Ground II: The Adventures of Ollie and Banjo. This one, of course, would be a family film about a toddler and a dog who travel around solving mysteries.

View MoreBad movie it started out good but the middle and the end were not good the doctor couldn't even be a true man he had chances to get a gun and save himself his girl and Ollie but no the girl saved herself and her man but Ollie was left with no family and alone in the woods at night also starve to death and probably died. It's sad how they can leave a child like that
... View MoreSomeone below mentioned that this film didn't make use of cheap tricks... BAHAHA Are you serious!? Were we watching the same film!? This movie is absolutely fu*king terrible!!! There is NOTHING to take away from this film. Boring, lame, cheap tricks that leave you angry and frustrated rather than truly scared or interested. Not sure what the point of this ridiculous excuse for a film was by the end of it and I doubt the writer had any clue either. The only reason anyone wanted to stick around for the end was to see if the kid made it out alive and you couldn't even give us that. Not clever. Clearly this writer/director thinks he's smart, but proves the opposite by assuming the film would be better if he teased the audience with lousy cuts and lame, disruptive flashbacks that keep you just p!ssed off enough to keep going. Let's not mention how utterly unoriginal this script is. Come on dude... really? How many times have we seen this same film... Too fu*king much! I give this film a huge thumbs down. Do not waste your time. And what was with the pansy @ss husband!? I think the biggest disappointment of the film is that he didn't die in the car crash. Throw some fu*king music in why don't you!? This isn't an artful, elegant film full of super intelligent dialogue and amazing character development although it's edited like it is. Cheap, boring, bullsh*t. I'm out.
