Welcome + Namaste London(some part & song theme) = 786, a poor strike by Khiladi. It is a wonder that we still are making films like this. It has just the brand KHILADI in correlation with earlier movies. It is entirely old story by Himesh with a little change in masala. This is the 2nd time this year, where Akshay tries to be Salman. Nothing new in his acting. It is a scary nightmare that Akshay will come back with more films like this because I am sure that films like this will earn money. In first half, flick has some mindless comedy & action scene but 2nd half has only scenes(no action, no comedy & no story too). Asin has tried to do nothing new. Himesh is better then his previous roles. Rest is OK. Last Words: Go for this flick, if you are a die-hard fan of Akshay.

Khiladi 786 directed by Ashish R Mohan is one of the worst movies I have ever seen. The movie has a weak plot-line,minimal scenes that make you laugh, poor dialogs and erratic screenplay. There are only three things about this movie, which makes me give it a three star on ten:-i)The stunts: Although bearing similarity to those of Dabangg,Wanted,Rowdy Rathore etc. What makes the stunts look entertaining is that Akshay Kumar has done it himself and there is no use of body-double.ii)The music: Himesh Reshammiya does an awesome job."Hookah Bar","Balma" and "Long Drive" work. The title "Khiladi Bhaiyya",bears a bit resemblance to Hudd Hudd Dabangg(Dabangg).iii)The performances of Mithun Chakraborty,Sanjay Mishra and Johny Lever: Although Akshay Kumar is the main hero of Khiladi, but, yet,Mithun Chakraborty as don TTT and Sanjay Mishra as Jeevanlal Pranlal D'Costa steal the show.Johny Lever as Inspector Bhalerao Kambli, although having a very short screen space brings a huge smile to your face.Story: Born to an owner of a marriage bureau Champak Lal (Manoj Joshi), Mansukh (Himesh Reshammiya) has been a complete failure ever since he has grown up and tried to help his father in their family business. All the alliances he had tried to get done have resulted in separation even before the marriage took place. To prove his worth to his father, he takes up an unusual challenge of getting an underworld don TTT's (Mithun Chakraborty) sister Indu (Asin) getting married to a cop called Bahattar Singh aka Khiladi 786 (Akshay Kumar) in Punjab and to add more to his problems he convinces even don TTT to pretend as a cop but little did the over enthusiast know that Bahattar Singh, his father Sattar Singh (Raj Babbar) and his uncle Ikhattar Singh (Mukesh Rishi) were not cops but a family of con-men. The story takes a shape as the two hardcore families of two different states pretend to be policemen in front of each other and the beans from each side can be spilled anytime which can be life threatening for Mansukh. The direction is poor The screenplay is erratic.Performances: Akshay Kumar is very good. But still I found something missing in his act as compared to the act he did in Rowdy Rathore.Asin is dull.Himesh Reshammiya does not impress even an inch!He is horrible.Raj Babbar,Mukesh Rishi,Rajesh Khattar,Manoj Joshi,Bharti Singh are all wasted. All in all,Khiladi 786 is a terrible waste of terrific opportunity.I am giving it a three on ten.Colossal Disappointment!

Since having become a fan of the cinematic offerings of composer Himesh Reshammiya from viewing his wonderfully stupid and trashy "bio-pic" debut Aap Kaa Surroor:The Moviee-The Real Luv Story, that along with showing that Reshammiya (who plays a character called Himesh "HR" Rashammiya) could keep his trademark cap on during a bare knuckle prison fight (!),also allowed Himesh to show a more decent side,by having his character fall in love for a 15 year old girl. With being caught by surprise, that for this movie "HR" had been given the chance to come up with the story line for the first film in the "Khiladi" series for a number of years,I began to become very interested in seeing what Himesh's "unique" take to revive the Khiladi franchise would be.The plot:Feeling depress after getting thrown out of the family home by his dad,due to ruining his dad's fix wedding "business",Mansukh decides to go to a local shop,so that he can buy a bottle of cheap booze and get drunk for the rest of the night. As Mansuk drinks,a car comes speeding by,that leads to Mansuk losing his grip on the booze, and the bottle ending up crashing through the car window.Furiously getting out of the car,Mansuk soon discovers that the driver of the car was a woman called Indu, who tells him the she is going to tell her big brother about what he has done to her car.To his horror,Mansuk quickly discovers that Indu's big brother,is in fact the city's leading mob boss:Tatya Tukaram Tendulkar.Desperate to find a way to get out of the punishment heading his way,Mansuk clutches at a conversation that Tatya has about being desperate to get his sister married.Using all of his charms to make Tatya agree to him sorting out an arrange marriage for his sister,Mansuk suddenly relies, that the only person he can arrange for her to get married to is a cop called Bhatter Singh.View on the film:Returning to the series for the first time since 2000's Khiladi 420,Akshay Kumar gives a pleasant, but extremely middle of the road performance as Bhatter Singh.Opening with a wire-work action scene poorly directed by Ashish R Mohan, (who shows all of Bhatter's fighting moves not connecting at all against any of the baddies) Kumar just about gets over the unbelievably fake looking action scenes, and also some hilariously bad lip syncing singing,by giving Singh a swagger that helps to give the movie some much needed extra sparks.Despite now having six movies to his name,composer/co-writer/ (along with Bunty Rathore and Kushal Bakshi) producer/and actor Reshammiya shows the he can still give a performance that is more wooden than a Christmas Tree.Along with stretching the simplistic plot well beyond breaking point with a near 2 and a half hour running time,Rashammiya also gives the film plenty of unintentional Comedy gold, with the few "serious" scenes in the movie being ruined thanks to Himesh holding the same expression for the entire movie, and crying more like an annoying brat, who has no hope at all of ever becoming a future Khiladi (player).
