I personally loved this movie. Although I am a fan of traditional romantic Bollywood movies, it was a nice change. Not all people end up living happily ever after in their relationships, and this movie showed that. Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna is not a typical Bollywood movie but it showed a different perspective to relationships, one which we are not used to seeing in Bollywood. Loved it!!!So this film now tops my list of favorite Bollywood movies along with Kal Ho Naa Ho and Veer-Zaara! Big ups to director Karan Johar. So if you have not watched this movie yet, I strongly recommend you do so. Just keep in mind that it is not your typical romantic movie, but it still has a great and captivating story-line.

Sadly, this is realistically what happens often. People get married hoping that their partner is the one, but later to find out that out there is the real one, their soul partner. To what extent will one be willing to sacrifice for true love? Responsibilities, love of the present partner?Unfortunately, both Dev and Maya don't seem to have put in some effort to re-kindle their love for their spouse and save their marriages. Some effort here would have made this movie more endearing.Dev's father gave a practical advice, which may should heed. Love well, love deep and hold on to it tight. But if all else fails, let go. Let go so that each can find happiness in future. Time heals.

I don't know why the Indian film makers are always inspired or is it that it is a coincidence but it had occurred so many times , something has to be divine about it . Plagiarism at its best just that they spoil it especially if the person is Karan johar ,first he should learn direction i guess or better hire someone. Acting is acceptable but scripting needs lot to be worked on especially dialogs. Moreover why karan johar always have to be so lavish why they all have to be rich. while most of Indians are poor or middle class why didn't he take the aspect of middle class life and struggler could have easily made the story more realistic and touching.Because I don't think the portrayal of rich society adds so much to it . Further why the story always need to be told in foreign countries if it is expense then may be acceptable because i don't think only NRI have extra marital affairs ,in India it occurs too So mR KJ seriously learn some story telling skills else u can never be a raconteur.Acting by SRK,AB baby is good but scripting and story don't do justice to them.Amitabh is wasted ,i don't understand what he is doing there .he could have watched the movie in cinema theater i guess or maybe he wanted a live experience .

'Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna' is Karan Johar's latest attempt after 'Kal Ho Na Ho' and it explores the theme of extramarital relationships.'KANK' tells the story of Dev (Shah Rukh Khan) and Maya (Rani Mukherjee) who embark on an extramarital relationship because they are neglected by their spouses, Rhea (Preity Zinta) and Rishi (Abhishek Bachchan). To start with, the idea isn't refreshing or novel at all. This theme of adultery and misunderstanding between husbands and wives were experimented umpteen times in Bollywood. But the treatment that goes with telling the story is appreciating. Karan Johar brings a certain amount of depth into the characters and makes us connect to their emotions. But there's one inconsistency in the plot and that is Dev and Maya's relationship. Their relationship looks like nothing more than physical attraction. The two end up in bed too quickly before even giving any chance to their spouses to realize their shortcomings.'KANK' rests on SRK and Rani's shoulders. They perform ably and bring certain depth to their characters. Preity Zinta and Abhishek Bachchan are good too. Amitabh Bachchan also has his moments. Kiron Kher is lovable. Editing is good and is in sync with the pace of the movie. Cinematography is awesome and the locales of U.S.A have been captured to the fullest. Choreography could've been better.'KANK' is a must watch.
