An excellent documentary following the journey of a 17 year-old porter as he carries a broken coca-cola refrigerator from a small village high in the Himalayas to the city for repairs. During the course of the trip, we learn of his family, hear of the barriers to education in rural Nepal, meet folks in small villages, and learn about porters who can carry up to 200 lbs on their backs to get by, shuttling goods from town to town and the backpacks of tourists. Beautifully shot and edited, the film never gets too heavy (no pun intended) but is a great slice of life with humor and a message. The subject of the film is an admirable person, with great ambitions and seeming abilities, but limited due to his poverty. I hope this gets to a wider audience.
