Jai (Salman Khan) is an ordinary man with a desire to help others. He formulates a plan in which, instead of saying "thank you" for a kind act, the recipient will vow to help three others, telling them to do the same. In helping others, Jai crosses the local political family, starting a feud. This is a serious and violent drama with a most positive message, encouraging the doing of good, and celebrating the power of the common man. It is an engrossing film, with an exceptionally good supporting cast. Khan wears the same serious face throughout most of the movie, and does little acting other than action, but that doesn't lesson the film. The music is good, the choreography nice, and the costumes often beautiful. Overall, this is an intense, yet feel-good film, in the best Bollywood style.

Jai Ho movie is a must watch because This is a mass film which deal with Socail Issues. Making these type of films will make the social awareness to reach maximum people. I remember once Salman Khan told that he acted in a movie Phir Milenge that no one watched because it was treated as an art movie.. So he decided to make movies with messages & social elements through Mass appeal. This will make u reach out maximum number of people. Jai Ho is one of that kind of movie. It has all Salman Khan elements + very very amazing scenes that will make u cry. After watching this movie u will feel that we should do something for the society. There are a lot of emotional elements in the film. Was the above Habeb Al_janaby

Sohail Khan's 'Jai Ho' is mediocre entertainment. Here's a film that offers entertainment, but only in bits. However, Salman is in form. 'Jai Ho' Synopsis: An ex-army officer initiates a unique idea of propagating social responsibility among ordinary people and in doing so, crosses paths with a powerful political family.'Jai Ho' gives a noble message, which deserves to be appreciated. But, as a whole of a film, 'Jai Ho' appeals in parts. The journey of its protagonist, played nicely by Salman, begins tepidly, but gathers momentum, more-so in the second-hour, when he's pitted against an evil politician & his family. The first-hour wastes time in subplots and a romantic-angle, that hardly leaves a mark. It's the intense second-hour when things begin to arrest. Even the climax for that matter, is good. The Screenplay works primarily in the second-hour. Sohail Khan's Direction is strictly okay. Production Values are below the mark. Cinematography, Editing & Art Design, are standard. Action-Sequences are sharp. Music by various artists, is passable.Performance-Wise: Salman is in form. The superstar enacts the righteous & tough protagonist with sincerity. Debutant Daisy Shah doesn't get much scope, although her dances are graceful. Tabu is commendably restrained. Danny is ever-impressive. Amongst Others, Santosh Shukla & Mukul Dev are superb. On the whole, 'Jai Ho' is fair.

I was not impressed with movies of SK, but this was genuinely made from heart- its a typical SK movie... but with an heart at its place... these movies should be encouraged because we are getting away from society... to see Khopadi from Nukaad was a pleasure... The movie thought me that life is not about entertainment.. its about sharing good things.. Watch the movie for some real good performances. the direction is mediocre but the message is clear. Human touch in India is important. A must watch movie. Movie which makes sense. it has writers mark on itwatch it to believe it
