This movie is cliched junk. Is there ANYONE who didn't KNOW that crippled whatsisname was NEVER going to return to his crippled body as soon as he got into his new uncrippled alien body? Was that really a surprise to anyone? And this plot was done before, by Rich Corben in Slow Death #3 (an underground comic) in 1971, and that was better than Cameron's version anyway. This movie is incredibly overrated.

By the third act, I was impatient to leave the cinema. The story and writing are non-existent. All the characters are forgettable, and none of the acting performances seemed confident or convincing.I think nearly 10 years on this film has failed to change cinema as it promised and its legacy is one of mediocrity. Finally, the special effects were consistently jarring, because they looked artificial.

The best movies, the classic movies are the ones that are timeless. That is how we all viewed Avatar when it first came out.To say that the visuals are groundbreaking would be an understatement. In 2009, this movie had easily surpassed all other movies in terms of its cinematography and visual effects. But that is where the praise stops. By way of plot, characters, dialogue, and anything that makes a movie remotely human, Avatar has nothing special.Avatar was ahead of its time. But unfortunately, Avatar does not move forward. Movies with similar or better visuals since then have released, and now Avatar has been left behind.
