I've hit rock bottom. I cannot go any lower. Burning in hell would be more entertaining than watching this "comedy" again. Satan...take me! One Sandler still making outdated comedies is more than enough. To have two Sandlers in the same film is the stuff of nightmares. The catalyst in creating a colossal black hole that will end the universe as we know it. Sandler dressing as a woman to portray a twin sister should be disallowed. Illegal. A crime against humanity. It's not even a case of the comedy being outdated, because I am one million percent sure it still would not be funny. Twenty, thirty, heck make it fifty years. Toilet humour isn't funny (including but not limited to farting in the cinema, violently excreting after consuming Mexican food and explicitly scratching one's testicles). Annoying characters aren't funny. Sandler isn't funny. Two Sandlers aren't funny. Sandler dressed as a female purposefully showing off his masculine shaved legs isn't funny. You see my point. I'm not even going to describe the plot, it would be a waste of a sentence that could be better used to decimate this atrocity. Holmes was underus...wait...wasn't used at all. The screenplay contained absolutely zero laughs. I didn't even smile, not even a smirk. Just large glaring eyes as I stared at the screen bewildered by what I just experienced. Pacino...why? The only one with a worthwhile committed performance, because he was playing himself. No acting required. Although subjugating yourself to an advertisement for donuts where you sing "Dunkaccino" does make you wonder why such an acclaimed actor would do this. The last line of the film is "Burn this! Don't let anybody see this!". Ironically, I feel the same about this film. Thinking about watching this? Go outside, run to the local store, buy (or perhaps steal...) a copy of the film and give it to your best friend. Then watch them suffer as you laugh maniacally. That'll make for a more amusing time then watching this. Sandler can no longer come back from this. His professional career is officially deceased in my eyes. Goodbye.
... View MoreAdam Sandler's Jack and Jill is a joke. A gag. Sandler has sunk to his absolute lowest, playing both Jack and Jill poorly. Both main characters are not only unlikable, but also Adam Sandler. It made us want to rip our eyes out just to end the film. The Jared joke aged incredibly poorly, especially with the child audience that this film shoots for. I am embarrassed not only for Adam Sandler, but also every single member on this production. They should all be ashamed of what they created, as well as curious as to why they would even release this. It almost seems like a practical gag and yet no one is laughing or winning in the joke. Al Pacino probably plays his worst role ever, and he plays himself just like every other actor in this movie. INCLUDING David Spade. However, David Spade not only had nice tits but also a killer belly button ring. He was hotter than Rob Schneider in Hot Chick. In conclusion, Happy Madison has disappointed us yet again. I'm questioning why we keep giving Adam so many god damn chances to redeem his name, when it is clearly not ever going to work. Except for maybe in Pixels?
... View MoreI finally managed to watch the whole thing on my second attempt. The first time was when it came on television. It was switched off fairly promptly. This is the only film where I have felt it necessary to spray myself with deodorant, or to use an air freshener in the room while it played. That's how much this film stinks. The basic premise is that Adam Sandler plays two characters: one who is nails-on-a-chalkboard irritating, and another who we're meant to sympathise with when they have to put up with the other one. This might provide humour for ten minutes in another film, where the protagonist has already been established. However, when it's the entire film it's not funny, it's just Adam Sandler in a dress doing one of his horrible voices. Throw in a bunch of other unfunny and sometimes just offensive jokes and voila, you have the perfect storm of Adam Sandler, because at the end of the day, this is just another bad Adam Sandler film.
... View More(Originally seen a few years ago) Adam Sandler has made plenty of terrible films but none were as painfully unfunny as this one. Al Pacino has been dragged down to Sandler's level, Pacino is a great actor and to see him in a bottom of the barrel Sandler film is saddening. Jack and Jill is atrocious, unwatchable garbage where every moment is either embarrassing, unfunny or cringeworthy. Jack and Jill is one of the worst film's of the decade so far. 0/10
